Out Foxed Posted 23 August 2018 Posted 23 August 2018 Hands down, Grizzlers. Fries wings and chicken strips are all good too. Get the juicy Lucy or the hotrod!

Ronseal and genuinely incredible. Apple and cramalized onion chutney go well with it nicely in a burger with a sauce of your choice. Been making these for years and they bring ‘all the boys to my yard.’ Made these last night and I can confirm they are amazing ?

I don’t get five guys, I just don’t. Attempted it twice, to see if I missed something the first time. Its just a cheap burger joint that isn’t cheap. Well that’s what I concluded on my two visits. You just pay a lot more than you do at McD to feel bloated and greasy.

Only good thing about 5 Guys is the drinks machine.
stix Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 Well I’ve just had the Apocalypse Cow Burger at the local hero and it was delish ?

I went 2 weeks ago, £27 for 2 burgers, 1 regular fries and 2 drinks. You have to go and order yourself, you have to get your own drink and you have to collect your own food from the counter. I would have rather gone over to Burger King as that’s half the price and tastes better. The profit mark up must be incredible for five guys.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 Five guys has so much potential with the choose your own topping approach but they let it all down by making the main ingredient an anaemic wafer thin disc of meat instead of, you know, an actual burger.
VLC86 Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 I haven’t read the thread but a big shout out to Five Guys, who’s with me?
Unabomber Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 I like five guys it’s expensive but tastes good imo
Samilktray Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 The bacon five guys use is banging but unfortunately I stopped eating pork
Samilktray Posted 26 August 2018 Posted 26 August 2018 Also the amount of fries five guys gives you almost justifies the price

Its truly awful, genuinely prefer the burgers outside the the king power more.

I cant add to this thread as im not in Leicester but homemade is always better. Usually do something like this with extra lean mince beef and then i put in 1 small finely chopped onion, 1 or 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1 egg, 1 toast crushed/grated up, decent amount of fresh cilantro leaves, salt, black pepper, 1 or 2 green chillies, teaspoon or so of freshly crushed coriander seeds. Key is to not make fat fucher patties so you dont have to dislocate your jaw to eat it. So many recipes out there but mine is clearly more "indian" themed lol.

lifted*fox Posted 27 August 2018 Posted 27 August 2018 Five Guys is sick, **** the haters. It ain't supposed to be no gourmet burger - it's a juicy, sloppy, melty tasty ****in' mess and the chips are boss. yeah it costs a fortune but it scores goals so that's ok with me m8s
