What Nationality would you like to be if....

This is not where you would like to live re weather etc but rather the national traits you perceive a nation to have.

 

I've always had a soft spot for Canadians would really like to have visited there but I reckon it's a bit too late now, or maybe a Nordic country like Denmark or Norway.

The Germans get a lot of stick but for the most part they're the nicest people you could hope to meet. I'll be marrying one soon and taking citizenship as soon as I'm elligible

German, got family who live in Munich and nicest people you'll ever meet. Foods great, beers great, footballs ok... Or Austrian as they're similar and Austria is a beautiful country.

 

Strangely I'm allowed a Swiss passport after getting married to my partner, she's not Swiss but is entitled to one in her vast heritage.

I married a Schwarzwald maedele....many years ago...I took citizenship this year. After 35yrs of marriage...} I wanted to be sure {

I didn't need any tests....over 60. 25yrs in Germany.4 kids

 

How long have you been in Germany...what's your location...

Just over two years and in Berlin at the moment. I've got my German up to the required level, taken all the integration courses and passed the test but even with marriage, I've got a few more years to wait until I can become a citizen. Unfortunately by that time, assuming Brexit actually happens, I'll have missed out on the possibility of dual citizenship. I'm not particularly sentimental about it but it would have been nice to have the option.

Proud of my english and sikh background but we left England and came to a much better place in Canada and i'd never leave. To me best country in the world (leaving the footy culture out if it).
