Well yeah but when you're channel hopping later on and you're in the mood for sport, there's not much else football wise in their time zone.

I don't disagree mind.

Watch a few games from OUR year ...    works for me.   If I’ve seen Vardys goal against Liverpool once I’ve seen it a hundred times ...    and as for Bocelli singing ...     oh ...

This lads ability to press and run about like a lunatic is unreal. Abundance of talent too, is he not best at number 10 though which we appear to be stocking up on in Maddison, Barnes and even Iheanacho?

So more of an okazaki type player?

Never watched MLS football.

But with very good technical skill as well. Think he can play across the attacking positions but he’s not an out and out winger, maybe that’s not what we need anyway.

Capable of playing as a winger, an inside forward or a conventional ten, probably more at home on the wing than Maddison.

Atlanta play with a front three of Josef, Villalba and Almiron. Josef is always in the middle really but the shape of the other two is fluid, sometimes Villalba is high on the shoulder of the last man sometimes he's out wider. Sometimes Almiron drifts behind Josef and sometimes he's in the channel as part of a Liverpool style 3.

They're all ridiculously rapid, they are like the Liverpool of the MLS.

No, he's hard working but not like Shinji at all, he's a pretty skinny lad with very good technical ability.

Yeah. I was hoping we'd been linked with a striker or even la defender.

Id sooner come to Leicester, taking aside the obvious bias, as a neutral. London is shit

Well, when you have a nice, easy office job, no rent/mortgage to pay and enough free time to make all the museums etc. in London worth visiting, then it's pretty good...  (Not that I'd know anything about that, of course...)

Can’t wait for him to sign, make his debut after four months in the wilderness, be played out of position and be written off by FoxesTalk after 15 minutes

That’s the dream.

I saw Atlanta play a while ago and thought he was by an absolute mile the best player on the pitch. Had half an eye on him since then. Looks a seriously exciting player even if it was at a pretty poor level.

Last time we had a Miguel in the squad we won a league title....

This sadly isn't true :( he was Miquel and the Miguel we had was 2010/11.

Almiron has an eye for a pass and knows where the back of the net is too.

Must have been a groundsman at some point then. Useful. If we ever have a need for more groundsmen ;)

If we're interested (and I'd put money on this being absolute rubbish) then I'd expect it to be as a wide player.

We currently play a central midfielder on one side and a right back on the other because the manager is so unhappy with his wingers. Even with Gray fit, Puel seems to have a very bipolar relationship with him, clearly Puel wants to play 4231 and clearly he doesn't like his wide men.

Don't even think he likes Ghezzal.

Almiron has played his last three games on the left wing, he's played on both wings previously for Atlanta. He played on both the wings and as a conventional central midfielder for Lanus. In short, he's pretty versatile.

But, again, I highly doubt we're bidding.

Superb tidy little player (he‘s about 5‘6‘‘), who nearly averaged a goal or assist during the past regular MLS season.

Just wonder what that‘d mean for Maddison - I suppose he‘ll remain our starting CAM for now, with a player like Almiron acting as competition for places.

I don't think we have Maddison cutting in from the left because Puel hates his wingers. I think it's because he wants to play both Iheanacho and Vardy.

If you have a back four and then two defensive midfielders, then you've got four attacking places left. Maddison, Vardy, Iheanacho and Richardo are our best attacking players. Obviously Maddison isn't a left winger but he's only there in defence - in attack he'll cut inside with Chilwell on the left wing and with Mendy covering.

If Puel did have another winger he liked what would he do?

                       Vardy

    NewWinger Maddison Richardo

                     Mendy Ndidi

      Chilwell Maguire Evans Amartey

                      Kasper

And leave out Iheanacho when Vardy is nearly 32, and tell Chilwell to remain in defence?

He looks a talent, only time would tell if he'd be ready for the step up in quality, but others have managed it.

In regards the point raised about wingers, plenty of team who play 4-2-3-1 will play without conventional "wingers", sometimes three #10s. Maybe that's what Claude wants, who knows.
