Stayed up till 3...'ve been dreading getting up this morning to read the news; it looks bleak but whilst there is hope lets cling to that.

 

Praying for another miracle.

 

Thanks to all from the footballing family for their kind words at this difficult time.

Just having a read, apparently white is the colour of mourning for Buddhists.  Red is apparently really bad form, as it is the colour of happiness.

 

I know there are no confirmations of deaths as yet, but I would like to leave something at the stadium which respects their traditions as well as ours.

The Leicester underdog story is one that'll never be forgotten and one that gives every sporting team, every sporting individual hope.  As a lower league football fan that season showed us all that we could dream big.

 

Looks like it's gone way beyond that though.  The generosity and morals of the man shine through from some of the stories I've read on here.

 

Once again, massive condolences from all fans at STFC

Had to sign up in order to offer my deepest sympathies to all of you Foxes. I've read this thread after hearing the news on 5Live last night, and whilst I was deeply shocked and concerned on a human level, I had not realised how universally loved Mr Vichai was to you as a fanbase. He appears to have been a true gentleman, and I can only echo the sentiments of you all that I sincerely hope for the best, but fear the worst. This is a tragic event that should never have to befall any family or any club, but to have happened to a family as loving and caring as your owners, to a club that most football fans hold in high regard after your heroics THAT season, is awful and terribly sad.

 

Sending you all my and our love and best wishes.

The news is really starting to touch on all the reasons he was adored by the fans and the community. 

 

A particular memory for me was the promoting of the new training ground. I was stood looking at the plans, turned around and he's just stood there chatting away to fans, shaking hands and posing for pictures. A real gem of a man.

MUFC fan here. The greatest testament to Vichai is that every club - particularly mine - would absolutely love to have an owner like him. Someone with the club at heart, with humility, and who carries themselves with class. Most owners could learn a lot from him. 

 

I’ve been refreshing this thread and Twitter pretty much all night trying to get some clarity on what happened, it’s such a shock to football fans across the world. 

 

If the worst fears come to pass, I can only offer my deepest condolences at this sad time. It’s times like this when a club and community shows its true colours and it’s so clear to everyone that Leicester City will show immeasurable strength and fortitude.

Great to see so many fans of other clubs on here with their respects, fantastic.

 

With thoughts of Vichai and all the great things he's done for the club and city, I'm also hoping no fans were caught up in this, since it came down in a car park.

I have been in shock ever since my daughter told me about the crash just after the news broke. I’m normally the most composed guy in the room, whatever is going on, but for some reason this has really got to me. I’ve hardly slept a wink and spent most of the night like many have said, pressing ‘refresh’ to look for a glimmer of hope and few some level of support by reading the outpouring from not just our own fans but from people across the world.

its brought back the magnitude of what a Vichai  brought to us. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would experience the highs that we have. The miracle really was just that, a miracle that really hasn’t sunk in.

Vichai and his family though I’ve never met them, feel like my own family. I’m grieving and crying with them. I can’t remember the last time I cried, but I cried when I logged on again this morning and I can’t hold back the tears as I’m writing this. 

I think this has brought me down to earth again.  Whatever happens, win, lose or draw, I am always going to be loud and proud of my club, it’s owners and will promise to shout and back the players every second of every game.

That is the best way I can honour Vichai and his incredible family.

sorry for outing this out on here, but I’ve been trying to put it in to words all night and it just feels right. We have an amazing community in leicester and I’m from the Hindu/ Indian community and been brought up here. Just as we were all together through the miracle season, we are all together at this terrible time. ????????

You are right about that mate. 

 

I happened to be in Thailand when he had all the players over for the celebration, it was great to see. Obviously not your standard owner. Since then I've always looked out for Leicesters results.

Cant even think of words right now to describe how i feel. Its an absolute tragedy for the club and everyone involved with the club but most of all for the friends and family that may have lost loved ones in such horrendous circumstances. Thanks to all the fans of other clubs that have posted messages of support, the football family comes together as one during times like this and your kind words are of some comfort to us Leicester fans right now. It really is strange to feel so sad and hurt about people most of us have never met or spoken to, but this club is a huge part of all our lives so anyone connected with it whether it be players, staff, owners etc all feel really close to us and to have potentially lost some of these people in such tragic circumstances is just so hard to take.
