Foxes1 Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 4 years on from now on this date in 2022 and the World Cup final will be kicking of in Qatar. and English football finally gets a winter break.
tylesta Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Stupid winter world cup. Been a farce since the start Qatar bidded for a summer tournament not a winter one!!!
Nalis Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Aside from being corrupt as fvck, watching the world cup in pubs etc in the build up to Xmas might be rather enjoyable as a once off.
Countryfox Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Apparently, using their cheapo/slave labour, all the stadiums are coming along nicely. They may use ships as floating hotels so fans can be bussed to the game and then bussed back for a piss up on board. Obviously anyone caught drinking anywhere else will be locked up in some sh1thole prison indefinitely. Really looking forward to it !! ...
davieG Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Let's not forget the intent Qatar will become a big football nation after this, South Africa finally getting some competition.
Foxes1 Posted 18 December 2018 Author Posted 18 December 2018 Amongst other things happening in 2022 Claude Puel will still be manager of Leicester City and still talking about 'Intensiteeee and Qualiteeee' Wes Morgan signs a new contract to keep him at the club until 2027 Tottenham after being trophyless for years will finish 3rd again. Jamie Vardy will still be banging the goals in for Leicester Matty James passes a fitness test and is back playing again. and Non football matters Theresa May will still be trying to negotiate a Brexit deal.
RonnieTodger Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Sad state of affairs that this is going ahead

peach0000 Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Have no problem with a winter world cup, all countries should have the ability to host it. My issue with this world cup however is with the migrant labour conditions within the country. It is a tragedy that no one has stepped in and taken the tournament off them. This tournament will be built on the blood of thousands.... ....its still coming home though.

Mike Oxlong Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 On the one hand there’s encouragement to get gay footballers to come out And on the other FIFA decide to hold the World Cup in Qatar

Think it might be a bit different when they’re trying to arrest a couple of hundred thousand football fans to arresting a couple of girls on a rich ladies hen night. Mayhem
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2019 Posted 11 June 2019 111 dead construction workers in the first five months of this year alone... https://www.essentiallysports.com/the-truth-behind-the-2022-fifa-world-cup-preparations-in-qatar/

Can you imagine the chaos if we had a death building a stadium here. Crazy. No value on human life. For that reason alone, this World Cup venue, is a terrible idea. Do you think players will boycott it closer to the time?
Wymsey Posted 12 June 2019 Posted 12 June 2019 Even though it's the World Cup, this terrible tragic statistic may well put me off watching it. Wouldn't be entirely comfortable watching any game which is due to be played in a stadium where innocent people got killed just to build a stadium for a football match (even it's involved in a high-level football competition). Lives shouldn't be compromised for sport. Not at all. This World Cup bid selection farce, by far, puts a bad image for football - but it's the fault of FIFA that is staining the game here both here (likely via 'bribes', as much speculated) and in other aspects of the game in general. Shame it can't be overturned to prevent Qatar hosting this competition.
Jattdogg Posted 13 June 2019 Posted 13 June 2019 Fifa should be ashamed of themselves for sticking with qatar. The world should be ashamed for turning a blind eye. India, nepal and others should ban citizens from travelling to qatar.
KrefelderFox666 Posted 13 June 2019 Posted 13 June 2019 All this talk about boycott etc. Nothing will happen. All teams will go there, be as excited as normal and the fans will go and watch it. No one has the b0llocks to completely boycott it. Unless everyone sticks together and agrees to withdraw from participation, FIFA won't get it. Too late for FIFA to pull out and find another host, the damage is done.

Too many selfish people getting briefcases thats why. I agree nothing will be done.
