Midfield leader

Yesterday’s last 15 minutes showed with such a inexperienced team in the middle and wide positions, that  we need a cambiasso type player to help the younger lads see out games. Morgan’s lost his head in the clouds after both equalising goals. And even  Kasper should have held on to the ball a bit longer and calmed things down when he saved, the chance just before they got the winner. Ndidi is clearly having a bad time but if  he had a older head , along side him,am sure he would come good again. We need a better blend of youth and proven premiership players

Iborra wanted to go back to Spain with his family being unsettled here, otherwise he would've been brilliant to bring on. But it would've been wrong to stand in his way, especially with the offer we were given.

Silva, something just isn't right there, either from Puel or the player or agent, who knows.

But we do need an experienced head in the middle, like we had with Hammond in our promotion year and Cambiasso in the great escape.

Cambiasso couldn't actually last until the final 15 mins and even when he was on the opposition used to run past him as though he wasn't there.

Iborra wanted to leave, otherwise he may have been on the bench and then have been brought on.

Silva isn't good enough.

Hopefully Ndidi will learn from this although for me Choudhury should be the first name on the midfield list. He wouldn't have passed that ball but if he had it would have found its target.

So calm he almost falls asleep on the job, thank God for those opposition players running past him to keep him awake!

Is that true Suzie?

Iborra always looked a bit slow but was good in the air and would put a tackle in, Silva was light weight at times but did have

a couple of good games but never looked the real deal

Mendy has had a few iffy games, but he’s been one of the better players this season.

“Iffy” would be an understatement, he’s looking very lightweight all of a sudden!!

That was just an excuse for Iborra. Had he been playing week in week out, I am sure he would have stayed.

He would have been exactly the CM we so desperately need now, but Puel stubbornness and blindness costs us - Iborra is gone; Silva (a European Champion) destroyed; Ndidi playing sunday football standard; team spirit down; team losing and losing.

He is only deceptively slow but he is not. He always seem to be there at the right time. He is tall and he takes giant steps.

Why? He hardly played enough to show us what he has got. He is not playing because Puel likes defensive minded CM who runs a lot but does not care much about his technical abilities.

Meanwhile, he is a Portugal international who won the Euros. He has quick feet and likes to run into the opposition box.

He can’t be that cr*p.

If only we had an experienced midfielder with international caps and World and European cup campaigns to his name.

If the main reason he’s not really playing is for the sake of €5m, then that’s a joke. Yes, he’s not been firing on all cylinders since he joined but he had a rough start, and then got chopped and changed, he never got going. Any replacement that is decent would be at least 4x that fee, and with no guarantees. For those that say he is too weak, look how Mendy was bullied yesterday...

We need someone calm in the middle who can play a pass, then just let Wilf destroy, so he doesn’t need to play passes like he did at the end of the game
