mucfox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Hello Captain Wes, all the best, especially health for your birthday. You'll be a 5000/1 champion and foxes hero forever. Thank you very much for your immense commitment and your heart and soul in all your matches.
Soar Fox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 What a bloody signing he has been. I remember when Nige signed him and I thought he was an accident waiting to happen. *Championship PFA team of the year 12/13 13/14. *Leicester player of the season 12/13 *Players player of the season 12/13 *Championship winning captain 13/14 *Premier league winning captain 15/16 *Premier league PFA team of the year 15/16 *Football league team of the decade 05/15 All for a measly £1million pounds. GOAT sir Wes
mad biker Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Absolute and total legend and STILL a superb centre half, certainly not past it or poor like some dick heads on here will have you believe !!
abdul_fox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Captained us to the championship title, (also in the team of the year 13/14) Captained us to the premier league title, (also in the team of the year 15/16) Yes we need to phase him out for our younger defenders, but it's weird how so many people wanted to strip him of the captaincy for pretty much 5 years straight cos "hes too quiet" and "not vocal enough". A legend no doubt, and dare I say it... the greatest captain in the history of our football club. Happy birthday big man.
urban.spaceman Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 The best captain we’ve ever had. Seriously iconic. LEGEND.
AjcW Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Sounds like he had a nice party on Thursday night.... ?

SecretPro Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Best captain we've had in a very, very long time and an absolute bargain, but unlike @mad biker I think we definitely do need to start phasing him out and this probably should have already been happening over the last year/year and a half. He'd make excellent backup at this stage of his career.
Wolfox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 How dare he have a birthday when he’s clearly over the hill already and past his prime…. He so sh@t he can’t even freeze or reverse time so he can’t back 2012 when he wasn’t past it… loser…

I didn`t say he should be playing every game SP, simply that he is still a very good centre half, certainly not past it, we have already signed 2 very good young players and we should be giving Soyunchu some game time, he and Benkovic are the future, Wes should not play alongside Harry the pairing simply does not work, he is much better with Evans, similar to the Huth situation,
MC Prussian Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Happy Birthday, Wes. When will you announce your retirement or transfer to a lower-league team, I wonder? Forever grateful for your contribution early into your spell at LCFC, leading up all the way to the league title. But there comes a point in time when you (have to) realize you're no longer made for high-intensity football...
m4DD0gg Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 100% best ever captain and considering his age he is still going, needs to step back though.
RumbleFox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Most important captain in our history, many happy returns. X
wokinghamfox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Captain Morgan. Top top professional and our all time bargain buy.
Hollyfox Posted 21 January 2019 Posted 21 January 2019 Legend. A brilliant signing that's been part of a squad that's made our dreams come true. Hoping this season ends with a few more high notes and the KP can give a good send off to all the legends that will move on in the summer to pastures new. Not saying Wes has to be one of them but his career here must be coming to a close for the good of everyone. ?????

This Club has had many wonderful servant during the 50 years I have been supporting this fantastic Fottball Club. BUT there is always a time to call it a day and people that call others ‘Dick heads’ for stating the obvious, may be need to re-think their insults? Happy birthday Wes and thank you.

Don't you feel a bit of a twinge as you post that? I wouldn't describe you as a fan of his (at least not for the past 18 months or so), and the one about he picks the team is probably your favourite joke, even when we have all heard it a hundred times. I appreciate this is a bit of an awkward thread, given the absolute pasting Wes gets on here. I am more than ready for him to step back myself, but I have never really had the heart to stick the boot in to him, largely because (funnily enough) he doesn't pick the team, or the tactics. Hopefully we can all stop talking about his matchday performances soon, as I believe would have happened if Evans had stayed fit. Ps I've always thought that at least one pacy(ish) CB in a pairing is better, and is often paired with a big, physically dominant traditional (and slow) stopper. So I'm not unsympathetic to your desire for more pace. I liked Drago and would have stuck with him, although I have heard subsequently that he didn't really endear himself to the club, so it was probably better that he went after all.
