MonkeyTennis? Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 I'll hold my hands up: I'm precisely one of those johnny-come-lately fans who has only started coming to King Power in the last few years, and only I've only started coming regularly to every home game this year (the kids have got really into it, which made the difference). I love the atmosphere, but I feel like I could be doing more to support the lads - I just don't know all the songs. So bearing in mind all the discussion about support on FT, this thread is about the lyrics the classic songs, the ones we've always sung at KP. What are classics - the songs we need to know and to pass on to the next generation? So far I've got: Leicester boys are we, Proud of our city (or is it pride of our city?) We'll follow the lads, through good times and bad, We won the Premiere League. Vichai had a dream, To build a football team, He came from Thailand now he's one of our own, We play from the back, We counter-attack, Champions of England, you made us sing that, Oh-oh-oh. Come on Leicester boys, Make some fvcking noise, Go wild, wild wild (or is it come on, come on?) And that's pretty much it...
Voll Blau Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 When You're Smiling Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal Forever and Ever Leicester Score If I Had The Wings of an Eagle Never Felt More Like Singing The Blues Iwan Is A Welshman/Jamie Vardy's Magic You Are My Leicester/On Wednesday Nights Would also love to see revived... Those Were The Days
SMX11 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Megson for Bolton *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap*
urban.spaceman Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 When West Brom sang to us “He’s won more than you, He’s won more that youuuuuu, Jonny Evans, he’s won more than you” Which we then just sang back to them.
worthosoriginals Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 one song has slightly altered, through the good times and the bad, we will always back the lads (apart from if we disagree with substitutions, we will boo them at volume, until the manager does what we the football experts demand) although this new version doesn't flow as well as previously.

Genuinely never heard it going in full swing either just never seems to catch on. I miss E I E I E I O - that away at Huddersfield when we went up was great, also the first chant I learned when I was a boy.
HybridFox Posted 5 February 2019 Posted 5 February 2019 Don't sell Knockaert and Oh his name is Leonardo will hold special memories. Is it me or did we have more song creativity in the championship?

For reasons unkown a good number of new songs post 2016 have been started by the more vocal ones in the support but not managed to hook others into joining in with them.

Those Were The Days All them, and would definitely like to see ‘those were the days’ revived, tha5 would be brilliant. And the bananarama one goodbye is it? Reminds me of walking to the ground when I was a kid.
Vlad the Fox Posted 5 February 2019 Posted 5 February 2019 Also dusty needs to pick up again, seems to be fading away.

Haywood_6 Posted 5 February 2019 Posted 5 February 2019 There's always - "The terrace sings a song for you durrrr durrrr durrrr durrrr." Heard more upbeat songs at a funeral march though

I know it's frowned upon to actually enjoy yourself at games nowadays but try bouncing on the "durrr durrr durrr durrr ' bit. It's a laugh man!
