Apart from the great escape, winning the prem and getting to the CL SF i(plus countless other memorable nights) its been pretty mediocre

Didn't realise we had made the CL SF....bit gutted I missed that one!

I always forget Mahrez and Knocky played in the same team for six months. In my mind the former replaced the latter. Pure flair.

And to think i said to my 2 sons when we were pushing for promotion to 'be careful what you wish for'. Well, having seen us struggle in the top league, rarely having much success since MON's days, i was quite enjoying the championship in my own way :nigel:

If only i'd have known :scarf:

Just after Rodgers joined, I was having a debate with a Celtic fan who said that moving to Leicester was boring, in response I listed what had happened in the last 5 years and it read like a the script of Dream team.

Promoted from championship.

Pulled off one of the greatest relegation escapes ever seen in the top flight.

Had our manager sacked because his son went on a bender and made a porno with a Thai hooker.

Won the EPL despite being 5000-1 underdogs.

Sacked our title winning manager after a falling out with the players .

Got to the CL quarter finals.

Our owner tragically dies in a freak helicopter crash.

It really is bizarre how much we've been through as a club in the last 5 years.

I miss the trips to Yeovil and the like... where’s  the fun any more!

Yeovil on a Tuesday night in the rain. Hartlepool on a Tuesday Night in the snow ....... halcyon days

Does that make me a non plastic; never too sure of the criteria for being a true supporter.

As opposed to:

Expected to win everything - win everything

Expected to win everything - win everything

Expected to win everything - almost win everything

Expected to win everything - win everything

Expected to win everything - win everything

I know who I'd rather support.

It's not limited to the last 5 years;

Deeney

Kermogant

La Manga

Administration

Roy Essandoh

3 cup finals in 4 years

4 play-off finals in 5 years, including last minute winners, comebacks, dodgy penalties

We've been an absolute basket case of a club since I can remember & I wouldn't have it any other way.

You must remember the chant/song we had for the pair....

Genuinely don't. Having said that, during that season I barely made it to the ground due to work commitments.

Five years since we were promoted. If only we knew then what was going to happen...

On another note, I forgot how bad that kit was

In the meantime, Notts Forest have done this:

Championship, 14th

Championship, 16th

Championship, 21st ( lol )

Championship, 17th

Never getting further than Round 4 of a cup lol

To add to this...

Expected to fail in Europe  - fail

Expected to fail in Europe  - fail

Expected to fail in Europe  - fail

Expected to fail in Europe  - fail

Expected to fail in Europe  - fail

The true test of how far we have progressed is forest and derby are not our rivals anymore, they have for the time being become totally irrelevant.  Happy days indeed.

I still remember a certain nobhead who used to sit near me proclaiming Mahrez should never have been signed because Lloyd Dyer is better and Vardy will never hack it if we go up because it took him so long to adapt to the Championship...
