Tuna Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 As a contrast, imagine being an Ipswich fan. Done nothing for 17 years and then relegated.

Won the EPL despite being 5000-1 underdogs. Sacked our title winning manager after a falling out with the players . Got to the CL quarter finals. Our owner tragically dies in a freak helicopter crash. It really is bizarre how much we've been through as a club in the last 5 years. To be fair, we had that dodgy period in the Championship after we got relegated where for ~4/5 years nothing at all of note happened and we scraped by in lower-mid-table with Craig Levein as manager. Before/after that, though, it's been ridiculous. There's not many clubs out there who have had so many (extreme) highs and lows in such a short space of time as we have.

shailen Posted 12 April 2019 Posted 12 April 2019 I remember in our great escape season when we were struggling I posted how this could be our greatest ever team and got instantly shot down for making such comparisons. Fast forward five years and surely no one can argue although I'm shocked at the success this team has had since that period.
