Given we need to break a Wolrd Cup record to beat their total I think it's pretty safe to say they are already in the game.

Root and Buttler now need to stay for at least the next 15-20 overs. Huge ask for them both. 

 

Commentators made a point of Root sometimes wanting to stick with how quick the likes of Buttler/Stokes pile on runs and aggressively play. Interesting to see how this partnership turns out. If Pakistan get either of them out soon after getting Stokes out it's a big chance to see the victory out.

International cricket time-keeping is an absolute disgrace. How often in Test matches do we see an extra 30 minutes and still some of the 90 overs not bowled? Then you've got the 12th man bringing on gloves, bats, drinks, instructions etc after every couple of overs or so.
