fuchsntf Posted 25 January 2019 Posted 25 January 2019 No wickets today...!!! nice to see England openers, with a bit of backbone!!! but today, belongs to Holder firstly ,but also Dowrich!!..
Brainy Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Wonder how often a full day of test cricket sees no wickets fall?

Think this was the 10th time ever that it's happened with 300 runs occurring too. The West Indies two who stayed in all day were impressive, you couldn't imagine a partnership for England doing that.
FrankieADZ Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 well see Jennings is keeping up us low average against pace bowlers, certainly doesnt look good enough imo unless hes playing in conditions that favour spin
StanSP Posted 26 January 2019 Author Posted 26 January 2019 Unlucky for Burns. Thought he'd make the ton.

cambridgefox Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Being a Worcestershire supporter this is hard to take but,Moeen wtf are you doing again. He is much better than that,he really is.Blokes got so much batting ability, but is rarely showing it in test cricket.
RowlattsFox Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Number 8 gets 200 and part time spinner takes 7 wickets. Pretty much sums it up. Least the fans out there can do something better with their day tomorrow.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Just seen the score. Have Ambrose and Walsh come out of retirement?
EastAnglianFox Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 I know a few ex players have said it, but if any team other than England in world cricket starts handing out brutal hammerings id love it to be the windies.
STEVIE B Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Too many players making the same mistakes. Jennings, no foot movement, Moeen too care free. Is this perception that we bat so deep giving our top order an attitude of 'lf l get out the guys behind me will get us out of a mess' ? Stop picking so many bits & pieces allrounders and go for a more balanced side. Also, Chase a non spinning spinner taking 8 for is truly shocking on our part. Well done Windies, thoroughly deserved. Seems like we have our eyes on the World Cup & The Ashes.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 January 2019 Posted 26 January 2019 Moeen needs dropping, bring Foakes back in. EDIT: Ignore me, I'm an idiot

Wow I've had a mare here, didn't even realise he was in the line up Must have been in and out that quick! I still stand by the fact that Ali when needed doesn't come up strong for us, he always gets out playing silly shots.

His and Rachid’s failure to respond to the Windies knocking them out of the attack and piling it back on the seamers will have been noted by the Australians
RowlattsFox Posted 27 January 2019 Posted 27 January 2019 Don’t know many chances Jennings needs to have? You need to get fair amount of time as an opening batsmen because it’s not a easy position but he has had lots of chances and only looked comfortable against spin. May as well see what Denly can do. Rashid is a waste of a spot, barely gets used. Broad in for Rashid, Denly in for Jennings. Moeen stays in as a bowler but I don’t see how he can be unbelievably good or abysmal, has to be a mental thing. Can only bat when those before him have scored runs.
lanefox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Happy jennings has been dropped, he is not good enough for the international test level
