Sitting back, defending well, closing down, squeezing the opposition and nicking a goal on the break.

Sounds familiar...

and opposition supporters moaning because they should be winning because they have had more possession ?

This is worse than anything we produced under Puel at home this season.

And this is not to have a pop at Rodgers who is doing a great job and is a breath of fresh air.

But if a side turns up well-organised and unwilling to give you any space, it is really difficult for a team that’s not been assembled for £500 million to break them down.

That was always our problem under Puel. This is Rodgers’ first proper test in a home game and we’ve got the same problems as before.

A bit Puel-esque so far tonight, too much passing without going forwards. Looks like a bunch of prima donnas showing off their ‘quality on the ball’ without realising there’s a game to win.

Ndidi is just passing it back 5 yards every time he gets it and desperate to slow the game down. Pointless player.

Barnes and Chilwell have at least shown some drive in possession, if not quite the quality so far.

They look more likely to get a second than us to equalise!

Only through our mistakes though, they look absolutely dogshit in all honesty. We’ve been well off it first half, hoping we can step it up a gear next half. If we do we can comfortably beat these. But currently, Rafa has given our slick midfield absolutely no space or chances to play in their half
