I think we’re a worse team with Maguire. Get rid

One things for sure,he brings out the  worst in who ever plays along side him, Morgan and Maguire probably one of the worst partnerships the league!

Sitting back, defending well, closing down, squeezing the opposition and nicking a goal on the break.

Sounds familiar...

and opposition supporters moaning because they should be winning because they have had more possession ?

Morgan really is a sodding snail. He has 2-3 yards on the opposition player and he still gets beat to the ball. Such a liability. It's really not worth the odd block he gets in.

This is worse than anything we produced under Puel at home this season.

Certainly like a lot of the aimless first half shite that was served up under CP towards the end of his stint here

Name one first half that was worse than this.

Not created a proper chance against a team battling relegation who’ve scored and hit the bar.

Southampton 2-0 at half time

Well that was absolutely ****ing awful.

If we don't pick it up second half I can see them getting a 2nd before the 60th minute to kill the game.

Gray is really running out of time here I feel.

Playing our two slowest centrebacks available against a pacy counterattacking team... This team needs Soyuncu. Stop pandering to Morgan and Maguire just because one is senior and the other plays for England.

well.......that was crap. Nothing to sing home about at all, Poor passing, panicky defending and little going forward.

And this is not to have a pop at Rodgers who is doing a great job and is a breath of fresh air.

But if a side turns up well-organised and unwilling to give you any space, it is really difficult for a team that’s not been assembled for £500 million to break them down.

That was always our problem under Puel. This is Rodgers’ first proper test in a home game and we’ve got the same problems as before.

A bit Puel-esque so far tonight, too much passing without going forwards. Looks like a bunch of prima donnas showing off their ‘quality on the ball’ without realising there’s a game to win.

Ndidi is just passing it back 5 yards every time he gets it and desperate to slow the game down. Pointless player.

Barnes and Chilwell have at least shown some drive in possession, if not quite the quality so far.

To be fair I don't think anybody on here is saying we should be winning!

Credit to Newcastle and the fat controller first half.

Second half will be a test for Rodgers and the boys to see what they’re made of.

They look more likely to get a second than us to equalise!

Only through our mistakes though, they look absolutely dogshit in all honesty. We’ve been well off it first half, hoping we can step it up a gear next half. If we do we can comfortably beat these. But currently, Rafa has given our slick midfield absolutely no space or chances to play in their half
