He was excellent tonight and as a Leicester fan there can be few more satisfying sights than vardy at 36 and after 11 years at city, still scoring and terrorising defences.

But let's not kid ourselfs It helped massively that Southampton played a suicidally high line and struggled to defend in general even at his age that played right into his hands.

Seems like he found his touch today. When the ball was pinged into him as he came a bit deep towards halfway, his lay offs and link up was perfect.

Could have had a hattrick if he had the service. Was free time and time again. Rolled back the years tonight. And a good ace to have post international break when our other two will have picked up the air miles

Totally mugged of a trick tonight.. Hope he gave the young pups a slap in the changing room .

Nah Vardy would have gave him good advice no doubt, but appreciated his confidence and ability. Good to see Vardy leading by example again, great performance tonight

Me and my mate said it against Hull. Nobody had the quality of pass to reach his runs. He’s still bang at it, especially in this division. Not going to play every week obviously - but if we can find that quality pass when he does play, he’ll score plenty.

12 isn't it?

Kingy didn't score for us in his last season (only made 1 appearance in the fa cup)

Still offers more than Inheacho does.

Which is quite strange, as Iheanacho is also fairly clinical in spells.

Mavididi not squaring it has only reminded me how lucky we were to have a player like Vardy play for us (no dig against Mavididi)

A genuinely world class player, who cared more about team than personal stats (dig intended against Harry Kane)

If this is last year, let’s all appreciative it. Would rather watch Vardy smiling having fun in the champisonship for us, than having to endure the mercenary bastards play under Brenda for another year in the prem

Other than age, sadly. Maybe because Vardy was given more space there was more to work with, but this is the best hold up play we have seen a striker play this season.  Nacho was incredibly poor when he came on. My boy said its like his feet aren't connected to his brain. Not convinced at all there will be much from him this season.

He mentioned during his interview on the official website that his link up play is something that needs improving, but also mentioned the point of having players around him to link up with rather than being left isolated.

He's now equaled Andy King's feat of scoring league goals in 11 consecutive seasons. :scarf:

I think if you're a striker you expect to score in every season but a stat is a stat:vardy:
