Seriously worried that the current plight will tarnish his reputation.

Whatever the outcome, I can only hope fans will look past this season's dramatics and continue to hail and appreciate Vardy as the GOAT he is.

Not his fault he’s 38 and still our main striker. The club are at fault for not replacing him with a player that is good enough.

He should not be starting every ****ing week. He's 38. Premier league sides don't usually rely on a 38 year old to lead the line week in week out. Piss poor that we have no one else. Feel sorry him. Should of spent that 20 million we spent on skipp on a striker.

Oh I agree. But you and I both know there will be those that fail to see past our issues on the pitch, and still point the finger at ol' Vards.

Dare i say it, but is it likely he is wielding too much dressing room power?  Playing him 3 times in one week is almost scandalous, and i struggle to believe the manager wants to do this.  Last 2 games he has looked absolutely knackered at about 70 mins, and its hardly surprising. I felt one of the last 2 he should have started as sub, and am surprised Vardy himself hasn't even requested being rested. Can only assume that he has become so desperate to play and is able to put the pressure on to do so, that is clouding what is actually right. Performance against Palace was evidence enough that he needed rotating.

I genuinely can't stand our fan base. Just as shit as the owners and players imo

Look at how Enzo handled him last year. No way would Enzo have been starting him 3 times in a week. You need him at his best, start him when he's fresh or use him as impact. I doubt anyone in the KP thinks he shouldn't be near the pitch. But starting 3 times in a  week, especially after a honking performance against Palance - its wrong to the point where the must be something else going on.

He absolutely needs a rest….he is 38 and he fvcking deserves one.

Some of the stuff spoken about him on here honestly leaves me speechless.

Our greatest ever and whatever contract he’s on and whatever we are paying him he deserves for a lifetime imo for what he’s done for us

We seem to be down to Vardy and Daka and we are not packed with goal scoring midfielders either. Jamie is going to be completely burnt out or possibly injured very soon and yet no decent links to anyone coming in just Cannon leaving. In the great escape season we had 4 strikers and I think Kramaric came in too.

It's absolutely disgusting. Genuinely just don't understand the mentality whatsoever

Second half, Ayew got the ball in a good position on the right hand side. Crying out for the striker to make a run into the channel to support, and Vardy didn’t move.

It isn’t Vardy’s fault. He is 38 and has to stay very central, minimise runs to conserve energy for finishes in the box when we need him.

HOWEVER do any other clubs rely on a 38 year old striker week in week out, playing 90 mins?! No.

Most other strikers at this level are physical, they win balls in the air, they hold the ball up and most importantly, they pull players out of position by making runs. Vardy can’t do any of it. Not his fault, but how on earth is he our main man at his age?

Absolute scandal from a recruitment point of view that he’s our only option.

Hes our best ever, he’s super human, but he’s one of our biggest problems.

Add to this that he’s being asked to play as a lone striker with not a lot to feed off or link to and has had to spend a lot of the season playing deep inside our own half as a front prong of our horrendous low block - he wouldn’t be having much joy this season even if he was 18 years young.

He has to be allowed to be further forward - and needs support players (and the ball) in and around him.

Please retire at the end of the season, he’s holding us back more and more with every game

He is..(not officially via the media, yet).

Agreed, absolutely love him but we shouldn’t be relying on a 38 year old to play every week! Vardy should be doing the Kevin Phillips role he did for us when we got promoted.

He needs a rest we all know that. No doubt you won’t follow up here or provide any context at all. Just slag and then go quiet.

Dare I say a striker must  be our absolute top transfer priority now?

He's bordering on middle age.  I know from personal experience everything starts slowing down. He simply cannot be our number one striker and I wish he'd retired in pomp having helped get us promoted last season.

This threatens to be a sad, sorry end to his illustrious career with us.
