Wow.

It's not ideal at the moment but hate?

I didn't say I hated it, just didn't agree with the break becoming a tactical ploy :dunno:

Come on dutty Leeds, the office will be unbearable if you feck it up again!

Even worse if they go up, surely?

I ain't looking forward to having both to deal with both Leeds and Sheffield United fans in the PL at the same time.

Leeds deserve to go up though. Fair play to them. Looking forward to going Elland Road again next season, one of my favourite away days.

5-0 to Leeds in the end, it flattered Stoke really.

Leeds all but up with their home matches (Barnsley and Charlton), six points and they're promoted.

Done their GD world of good too if they want to finish top as well as be promoted automatically.

They were quality today, as much as Stoke were utter shite.

I wonder if there are many players who were with Leeds when they were last in the Premier League 16 years ago who are still playing now, James Milner and Aaron Lennon I would have thought?

Yeah definitely just the young players. Scott Carson, didn't he start there? Pretty sure he went to Villa(?) when Leeds went down.

Matt Kilgallon is playing in India currently.

I quoted two people in the post, yours to highlight the issue and then someone else who said they hated it, so it was aimed at them, not you.

Why on earth would you not want the Leeds up* ? A game you can actually get excited about, if you go away you get to booze in the best city in the country, they've got a cracking manager and squad that'll actually add value to the league at the moment too - the bottom half of this league (maybe Southampton aside in the second half of this campaign) is absolutely turgid and it just makes the whole experience dour.

I get that there's the threat that they could become established and challenge for the places we currently do with a bit of investment, huge potential - but we've been saying that about Newcastle for years and they couldn't beat a ****ing egg.

While we're here let's have games to be excited about rather than the prospect of losing away at ****ing Bournemouth again.

*I know folk will say their fans are unwashed racists but I've only ever encountered bloody brilliant Leeds fans tbh.

Although I do agree with most of this....

Go and buy a season ticket at Elland Road already....

If only I could

You'll be back to hating them next year when they've just done a 0-1 smash and grab on us and ripping the seats up of the away section chanting about the racial make up of Leicester... 😉

I just keep telling the office I can’t wait for them to get promoted so we can have “meaningful” and “serious” football discussion and not them just blathering on about their promotion woes. Also so we can hopefully batter them twice on the way to relegating them :P

In all fairness they are a great set of fans and it would genuinely mix up the premier league a bit to have a team like Leeds and a manger like Bielsa rocking about again.

If Luton manage to win at Huddersfield later on, then this relegation will really go right to the wire (as if it won't, already)..

Sheff Wed could be in trouble with the EFL and a points deduction possible for the misconduct charge around the sale of their ground last year, and maybe even into administration. The bookies/exchanges have gotten wind already and slashed their odds for relegation to Evens.

A Wolves mate of mine who's knowledgeable of the financial side of football says they've been up to some dodgy stuff, not only with the ground sale, but strange ticketing procedures, and getting a load of money from advertising a taxi firm (owned by Chansiri) that doesn't even operate. Very likely to get points knocked off one way or another.

Plenty of this being discussed in football circles.

People say 12-15 points looking likely for Sheff Wed.

With Wigan's deduction the relegation mix is even more fascinating.

Even without Wigan/SW, just six points cover the bottom seven with 4 to play.

Even eighth bottom Birmingham (10 without a win) are only 4pts above the drop zone.

Luton planning a great escape?

Jones certainly has turned them around. No doubt they love him again now lol

Genuinely thought Luton were dead and buried a few weeks ago.

Just shows you what some organisation etc can do for clubs like them in these situations.

Why wont Luton just flush like the trash they are? Hopefully this win wont be followed up.

I don't mind Luton. Went all the way down to non league and it was great to see them come back up through the leagues.
