spacemunky Posted 28 June 2020 Posted 28 June 2020 Best looking crowd I've ever seen at the City Ground.
Wymsey Posted 28 June 2020 Posted 28 June 2020 Think promotion to the PL has done more harm to Huddersfield than good, it sadly appears. It would be a shame if they do go down (reckon the relegation battle will go to the final day), reinforcing some people's views that their top-flight promotion was a real fluke.
Brainy Posted 28 June 2020 Posted 28 June 2020 You don't fluke your way out of any league, especially the Championship, especially when you then manage two seasons in the PL.Not sure what their squad is like now but I didn't get the impression they'd bounce straight back. In fact i'm not at all surprised they're struggling, they'd do well to recover from the season they had last season and find themselves fighting for promotion
SAFC1 Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 Plenty of teams going for that last play-off place, should be an entertaining end to the season that will probably be decided on the last day.
UniFox21 Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 Steve Cooper looks a bit like a Lord of the rings extra
Fox92 Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 Looks like Blackburn's promotion bid is over. Would have liked to see them in play offs. Pleased for Barnsley, mind.
spacemunky Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 I'd like to see Brentford leap past the Baggies for promotion.
Corky Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 Jack Butland with another mistake tonight. Oh, those days when we had threads wanting him to join us.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 30 June 2020 Posted 30 June 2020 Leeds are going to bottle it again aren't they!!! They are the ultimate team for not handling pressure. Their fans know it's happening again already!!

Fox92 Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 Wigan go into administration. First professional club during Coronavirus. They may face a 12 point deduction. I hope they don't but they probably will.

Nalis Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 Yep, hope Wigan escape relegation, they have the form to do so if its a 12 point deduction. As said above, a sadly think this could be the start of a load of administrations, hopefully not...
purpleronnie Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 That is a shame especially give their amazing form, from 2nd bottom 12 games ago they've won 8, drew 3, lost 1..the inform team of the championship.
urban.spaceman Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 The BBC article implies that the deduction might not be implemented this season
The Bear Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 They'd only just gotten new owners around a month ago. Obviously didn't actually have the finances.

They have the momentum in form to pull it off, whereas next season it’ll be like Bolton, your heads are already down before a ball has been kicked.
Fox92 Posted 1 July 2020 Posted 1 July 2020 Preston's game tonight is their 5000th football league game! First club to get there. Playing Derby as well who I believe are a fellow founding member of the football league.
