I've been past it a couple of times going into London on the bus for away games but that's only looking from the outside. I went to Griffin Park this season in the FA Cup, my first ever visit, and while I do love old grounds, you can also see why they want to move as they probably need better facilities to attract the better players.

Corky Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Switch on expecting Swansea v Leeds and you get Stoke v Birmingham
Tuna Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Leeds need just 1 more point to clinch promotion to the Premier League.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Just now, Tuna said: Leeds need just 1 more point to clinch promotion to the Premier League. 4 isn't it? If WBA and Brentford win their remaining 3 games they'll be on 90 and 87 points.

What a stupid tweet 0 more points COULD be enough if WBA and Brentford lose all 3 of their remaining games. Can't see them not doing it now, be class to have them back in the top flight.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Is it just me or do the teams at the bottom have a lot of points? Seem to remember us getting relegated on about 45 points and feeling like we'd been hard done by.

Don't know totals recently but I'd say it's more unusual to have about 8 teams who could still get relegated with 3 games to go!
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 POSH got relegated with 54 points in 2012/13. Still the record I think.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Must have spent too long in the Prem then and forgotten what you get relegated on after playing 46 games
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Yeah usually you aim for 40 points in the Prem and 50 points in the Championship, they're the rough numbers you want to avoid being relegated.
StanSP Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Midweek games could be quite decisive for those wanting promotion/play-offs... West Brom vs Fulham Cardiff vs Derby Brentford vs Preston Nottm Forest vs Swansea Millwall vs Blackburn
Soar Fox Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Didn’t we go down with a + goal difference and one of the best defences in terms of goals against?
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 1 minute ago, Steve_Walsh5 said: Didn’t we go down with a + goal difference and one of the best defences in terms of goals against? -3 goal difference. Conceded just 45 goals (less than 1 per game).

Not sure about GD but I know we had the second or third best defence in the league. Just thinking back now, off the top of my head we didn't get battered many times (I recall Sheffield United away we lost 3-0).
Alf Bentley Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 2 minutes ago, SouthStandUpperTier said: -3 goal difference. Conceded just 45 goals (less than 1 per game). Yep, -3. Second best defence in the division, statistically......and the worst attack!
Corky Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 2 hours ago, Steve_Walsh5 said: Didn’t we go down with a + goal difference and one of the best defences in terms of goals against? Different league but in 2003/04 we were the third highest goalscorers away from home with 29. Our last two relegations really could've been avoided.
Wymsey Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Wonder if anyone fancied Barnsley to win at Elland Road next?.. Fancy Blackburn to be the dark horses in the race for the play-offs.
purpleronnie Posted 14 July 2020 Posted 14 July 2020 Imagine being promoted to the Premier League, but not being able to go to the games then getting relegated at the end of the season....i'm sure some would find this amusing if the team was Leeds. But if it's a team like Brentford it might be a once in a lifetime occurrence.

Most were free's, although I always liked Ferdinand and Thatcher.
Nalis Posted 14 July 2020 Posted 14 July 2020 Wigan 5-0 Hull and its not even half time. Surprised Hull arent dead and buried in the relegation fight already considering how decimated they've been.
