fazzyfox Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 Alex Scott says the USA side were fitter than ours, I was just saying the same
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 Mentally weak when it matters. Just like the men

purpleronnie Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 Well at least we're up there with the best at losing semi finals.
Izzy Posted 2 July 2019 Author Posted 2 July 2019 I take back everything I previously said about Phil Neville. Nob
purpleronnie Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 VAR is starting to piss me off, I thought it would get better but it's getting worse, its so long it takes all the joy out of celebrating goals....it'll ruin football if it continues like this.

Countryfox Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 What a screeching old bag that yank coach is ... not that I’m a bad loser ...
fazzyfox Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 crikey, some of those sloppy passes would embarrass the Dog & Duck, then again the likes of Stones and Pickford have done similar in the mens team.
Izzy Posted 2 July 2019 Author Posted 2 July 2019 It's all so typically English ain't it. Sick of losing in the Semi's tbh
Ian Nacho Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 We've seen the good side and the bad side of VAR tonight with the offside and the penalty. There needs to be some sort of margin of error for linesmen, say if there decision is wrong but within 25mm of being right, the original decision stands. Offsides which don't even look offside to the naked out with a line drawn in ruin the game. Nobody wanted VAR for that and you haven't exactly gained an advantage if your toenail is offside. I know you're either offside or not but the A in VAR suggests the system is to assist the referee, not take over.

Mike Oxlong Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 BBC are absolutely fvcked now They’re going to have to actually start filling their news with ..... er, news
fazzyfox Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 Despite plenty of physical exertion, sweat and pain, the semi couldn't be turned into something more.....

Tuna Posted 2 July 2019 Posted 2 July 2019 Well that was depressingly predictable. It was just so England wasn't it?
somebum Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 As much as the cringeable bbc tried to big up this utter garbage, it was still on standard with any Sunday league football you will ever see. Absolutely awful. I'm wondering when criticism of it will become a 'hate crime'.
st albans fox Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 More VAR offside shenanigans.... @UpTheLeagueFox Geoff - you’re in a position to publicise ideas ... can’t you suggest they make the line thicker so that the benefit of any doubt continues to be in the favour of the attacker as the law intended and the game surely demands re more goals attackers will begin to hold back on their runs which will mean defenders more likely to get there first or at least challenge and the result will be less goals (the penalty farce which is also coming will actually mean more goals after VAR but I don’t enjoy watching penalties being scored )

This becomes frustrating when the media (especially the BBC) are trying their hardest to sell the "big lie" for equality purposes. It would be much more digestible if they left it on the red button as an option in the background. To even suggest this is even 0.05% as big as the proper World Cup is utterly ridiculous.

Fully aware of that mate

I know you're either offside or not but the A in VAR suggests the system is to assist the referee, not take over. Said pretty much the same thing earlier in this thread. Nobody wanted this surely. The refs aren't refereeing any more, they are relying on VAR. And nobody wants someone a millimetre offside given as offside. Like you say there has to be a margin of error allowed, its supposed to catch obvious mistakes by the officials, not ones they'd never see with the naked eye. Make it like tennis, and limit the challenges.
