FERNANDO LLORENTE has attracted interest from West Ham and Leicester ahead of his departure from Tottenham.

SunSport revealed earlier this month the Spain striker will leave Spurs despite his heroics getting the club to next week’s Champions League final.

He is set to leave on a free transfer and has Napoli looking to take him back to Italy and also La Liga clubs weighing up a move.

While Barcelona are also reportedly eyeing up a move for Llorente to provide competition for Luis Suarez.

But West Ham and Leicester are ready to offer him the chance to stay in the Premier League after three years with Swansea and Spurs.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bolster his attacking options with Andy Carroll injured and out of contract.

And Brendan Rodgers wants support for Jamie Vardy in his attack and has lost Shinji Okazai this summer.

Same here.. we are building a long term project in the team. Would still require a striker for the longer term to develop.

Or get a young guy in who's willing to wait a learn along side him and Vardy for a year and give him a 1 year contract.

Not that I'm a big fan just a thought that might apply to any older striker.

Tbf the guy helped change the game when he came on at half-time in the Champs League semi-final against Ajax. But that was probably more to do with Ajax's inability to cope with direct football rather than anything he specifically did.

I think he would be perfect for lcfc if he was 5 years younger and i would be very interested but he is too old and isn't able to grow as a player anymore.

Rodgers explicitly says we're not getting a target man and he wants someone pacy who can press. We proceed to be linked with the exact opposite of what our manager has said we're going for.

Gutter journalism.

Yes, didn't he say something in the Q&A about not wanting a lamp post ??

Who prints this shite? We’re not going to sign a 34 year old target man.

or a 35-year-old winger.   Are we becoming the new Scottish Widows Pension Fund?

West Ham and Leicester lol

Won't happen anyway. Rodgers has already said he's got no interest in a target man.

People are too obsessed with youth. A bit more balance with some seasoned players who can actually contribute would be welcome imo, these young players need more help learning how to win.

FFS Barcelona thinks he may be able to help them and some are turning their noses up. Be serious.

I'd agree, if our other striker wasn't already 32, and instead was 20.
