That injury is the worst thing that could have happened to Barnes. Was in such a rich vein of form at the time, but has not been remotely close to being the same player since. His confidence is smashed to pieces and his attacking play is not up to standard, so he needs plenty of coaching in the summer. Am frustrated for him, as he is a game changer on his day, and can be a real nightmare for defences.

He’s lazy and greedy when he does get chances. Should be best utilised coming off the bench. In no way a starter

Another player I'm fed up with now.

Harvey can be fixed.  He needs a personal coach to help him mix it up and with his decision making.

He need a psychologist as I have noticed he is a confidence player who needs to be playing well to play well...

These things should be fixed... but Rodgers is a numpty

He doesn’t suit this style of play.  He needs the ball to run onto with space to attack.  He usually gets the ball in a still position with back to goal, players in front and no overlap. A few times in attack when coming out from the back the pass to him was sideways so he had to stop his stride and they got a chance to rest and get more men behind the ball.

Tried to beat Iyobi once and realised he was quicker than him. After that he looked like a kitten faced with a bull dog and didn’t even try to go outside him.  His game is to push the ball into space and drive past his marker. If his marker is quicker than him he becomes very limited.

he played well today when he came on should have probably scored as well.

I would certainly be happy to sell Harvey Barnes, he is limited, and lacks attacking ambition.

Needs support to achieve anything with the ball.

Lookman is a more complete player in the same position

Sell one, buy the other.

Getting taken off at Half Time away vs PSV and again away vs Roma, shows what shocking performances he is putting in.

He seems toothless, lacking guile, has a poor touch, and is too frightened to try things.

Apart from that he's okay-ish.

He has had all of the direct quick dangerous running coached out of him by the management team. He also needs to personally give more of a toss, but then again why should he from LWB.

Yeh that’s the problem, he does find the space to score goals but he mainly scuffs his chances or misses the target. He scuffed one from 5 yards out today. Tbh I’d prefer it if he could play centrally, he can be a liability wide both tracking back and his inability to ever take his man on on the outside.

He’s been poor since he signed his new deal. I think he needs his confidence building and to be add more facets to his game like hitting the bye line and pulling the ball back or to the far post

great management... take a player who is out of form and low in confidence and put them in a position they are totally unsuited for...

This is good analysis. I swear he used to be much less one dimensional that he is now. Another who has been moulded into Brendans fixed system and ruined as a result.

More than anybody else he’ll benefit from a new manger. Rodgers isn’t a manager that gives players much detailed instruction. It’s very hands off, loose coaching.

He needs his game breaking down for him and the right manager to push his buttons.

Yea for all the talk of how good a coach BR is I reckon Pearson would get more of a tune out of most of the players.

Once Iwobi got the better of him in the first 1 on 1 he seemed to just lose any bite you have when coming on.

Regularly cut inside to all the traffic, barely tried any decent wing-play to attack down the line with any pass-and-move etc.

Fluffed the chance in 6 yard box to absolutely bury it and smash it past Pickford.

He's just an epitome of the whole malaise that is engulfing the squad at the moment.

Unless he's got all the time in the world and huge space to run into... Which rarely exists in the PL by the way. He's not that good. Scored some decent goals for us but they come far and few between. Sorry Harvey.

Another atrocious performance, carried on where he left off against Roma. 2 completely inept performances.

He should have had 2 goals today, our best 2 chances but failed to convert.

It’s a real shame as he was incredible before his injury. Today, Rodgers takes some of the blame for bringing him on as Everton were playing so deep, it was pretty obvious that a technically better player like Lookman would have been a much better option in the tight spaces. Tbf, more broadly, Rodgers’ changes were utterly bizarre today, square pegs in round holes.

There is a top, top player in there somewhere. Think he’s been let down by the manager.

No there isn't.
