Nice to see Leshabela get some time, looked good in his first appearance

I like the look of him looks capable on the ball / pitch for his age.

The ref in the stoke game was poor imo. Should have had a peno for Ricardo and he quite a few decisons wrong. Ah well only a friendly and we still won.

Didn't see the Rotherham game but we were decent but not spectacular in the stoke game. The 2 goals were very good and came from some nice passing down the wings but at times we were a bit sloppy in possession which will have annoyed Brendan. It is only pre season and we won which is great but Brendan will have been annoyed with some of the sloppy play at times. Overall though, we controlled the game and thoroughly deserved to win. Kasper needs to stop with the whole jekyl and Hyde thing as well.

Very hit and miss performance at Stoke.

Defensively we looked poor at times especially in the first half, Evans was terrible today imo.

Going forward we got better as the game went on, some really nice link up play in the second half, Maddison especially was terrific at times.

MOTM for me was Choudhury.

I had a Tarka the other day.  It's like Tikka, but otter

Are we signing James Tarkowski?

Not sure we really deserves the win but good to get one. Excellent when we get it right, just got to get it going more often. Too slow and casual at times. Not sure on Tielemans spending as much time on the right despite his goal coming from him being there, Butland should be saving that by the way.

Kasper lack of feet movement costing him again. Ricardo as good as ever, Maguire good I thought, Hamza did well too. Albrighton in good form, using up all his goal in preseason.

Decent run out. Thought we were overall under par, but there were lots of good moments. Preseason is about fitness but also incorporating new ideas, and we've definitely changed our style from when Brendan first took over. We played a diamond system for large parts of this match and it was OK. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but it did change things up and got us the win.

Riccy P was unbelievable today and MOTM, one of the best right backs in the league for sure. Marc Albrighton for me has been the best player so far overall across all our matches through his all round game. He's been the biggest beneficiary of the new system and style and he's finished impressively and got into many attacking positions and generally just getting really involved in everything. He might end up being the surprise of our season if keeps that form up. Hamza I thought was solid throughout as well.

Maddison very good, Tielemans a bit patchy but showed his class. One thing about the diamond is that I feel it doesn't get Youri on the ball as much and for me he is our best player when he's running the game. But still showed why we all love him.

Bit disappointed with Perez. I don't think he did anything wrong per se, but he didn't get as involved as much as I would have liked. That said he did again get into some good positions and could have scored.  Better for sure though than Kasper and Chilwell who were poor today. It can happen to anyone but hope they pick it up a bit as some of their mistakes will get punched against Wolves.

I think as you would expect from a preseason game with a manager trying to make adjustments, the team isn't yet up to full speed. You can see what we are trying to do but it's not as fluid or clicking as we'd like to see it. Will be interesting to see if we can get there in time for the new season... I feel like the attacking fluency is not quite there yet.

Don’t put too much of a gloss on it.

We weren't great but they created little. Other than a fluke goal, a peno and one save from kasper, we totally controlled the game.

Few comments on the stoke game. A gritty/tough game for the lads (most of who I assume are in BRs starting 11 plans for Wolves). I think a game like that is going to only be positive for them mentally. Bossed it possession wise and in spells, played some really nice one touch football. Going to have to work on converting dominance into goals. Finishing needs sharpening up as does playing the final ball. Looks like Perez has been given that sort of wide-front man role and pops up all over the final 3rd, not sure if that's confusing Tielemans game, who didn't have a bad one but not as sure of himself as he normally does. Maddison, Ricardo, Perez the stand outs for me!

if we sell HM we might, but the comment was a marine mammal based joke rather than a suggestion of a signing

I know it was. What are the chances of Harry leaving now? Surely time is ticking away. Do we have a cut off point?

First half in the Diamond, we were too open and not used to the formation which let Stoke through us a lot.

2nd half we narrowed it to allow Ricardo and Ben to push forward more in support.
