Koke Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 I know Kermogant got rightly slaughtered for his failed Cantona impersonation, but Waghorn actually missed the decisive pen that sent Cardiff through.

Shouldn't have been put in that position by Kermogant taking the piss.

HybridFox Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 We were miles better than Blackpool that year. This was THE game! I know it's worked out more than amazing for us since but still a sore one
Bayfox Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 I'd laugh if it didn't being back memories of having to use fox travel, must have been the longest journey ever on the way back listening to a load of cretins moan all the way home. We had only just been promoted back to that division, made the play-offs lost on penalties and given absolutely everything on the pitch to try win that tie. Yet the negativity on that bus home was beyond a joke. Probably the same ***** who boo at half time.
Collymore Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 Brendan would probably get use out of him going forward. A very underrated player by a lot of our fans only remembered by one piece of misfortune.
sdb Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 I sat in a yeovil pub car park and cried that night. Good mems.
LCFC FOX Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 Imagine if we’d of actually got promoted with that squad though

Nalis Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 The inconvenient reality is that Cardiff should have put us away before penalties, they were by far the best team over the 2 legs.

Eh? From what I remember they dominated us at home but we outplayed them at their place. We'd have won on away goals! That said, I do have a shocking memory

No they weren’t, in fact if I t wasn’t for Chopra not being given offside when they got their penalty we’d have gone through. We dominated that game up there and put in a wonderful performance.

Soar Fox Posted 25 September 2019 Posted 25 September 2019 What an away end that was when Kingy put us ahead in the tie.

We'd have won on away goals! That said, I do have a shocking memory ... I am sure your memory is not failing you!! Pearson was too cautious in the first leg, (as he always did in the play offs) and cost us what should have been an advantage. The second leg, we eventually went for it and dominated but unluckily conceded to take it to penalties. Turned out to be a great game in the end and I put the blame firmly at Pearsons' door. It was then that I doubted we would ever get out of that league and get to the Premiership. As you know the next season only served to compound my fears.....!
