I see that he has only scored 3 goals in his entire professional club career at aged 23. So despite being 6'1 he doesn't seem to score from headers much.

I say away to West Ham on 28th December. Not from header. From a 30 yard thundercvnt.

20/21 season. Champs league 1/4 final vs Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

We have held them to a 0-0 draw, it is the 88th minute and Leicester find themselves in the opposition half with a free kick. Ball is put in to the back post, header back across goal..... SOYUNCUUUUUUUUUU.

Soyuncu runs the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Leicester fans, his hair flowing in the wind as he runs full pelt Adebayor style.

Next day Pantene are on the phone with his new contract for a new advert.

Last game of the season... Cruyff turn in the centre circle leaving three Man U players on their ar$es... dribbles past two..... nutmegs Slabhead on the edge of the box, rifles the ball into thethe top corner it hits the bar...rebounds.... bounces off his chin into the net to confirm LCFC as 19/20 Champions

NBC commentator for the Newcastle game said he felt like Cags had the kind of game that could make him a candidate to move up into a midfield role in future. Obviously he's a beast at the back and there's no reason to mess with that but it did get my imagination going. I can kind of see it

didn't give a prediction, I'll say this week vs the Scousers why not

I reckon he'll smash one in from a free kick just outside the box. Everyone will be expecting Maddison to curl on into a corner, Caggers will step up and piledriver it straight into the middle of the net, knocking the keeper back in with the ball. Against Palace.

Liverpool this weekend.......

So if you're just joining us.... #lcfc are leading 3-0 and Soyuncu is on a hat-trick! #LivLei

I would become a celibate monk for Leicester to win 3-0 off a Soyuncu hattrick

He's our new Plan B. Chuck him up front as striker

These ideas are well and good, but being a decent tackler that is comfortable on the ball doesn't make you a candidate to play in the middle of the park. At least in our system, he'd also need to be able to get around the pitch as quickly as Ndidi or Hamza, for the full 90. Can't see it myself, but I guess I've never seen him try it. Didn't England try something similar with Carragher when playing a diamond under Sven?

Anyway, Cags first will be a scuffy goal from a corner that pin-balls in the box - against Southampton.

Burton away in a 4-0 win, after half an hour of the blue army singing ‘if Soyuncu scores, we’re on the pitch’ he pings in a 25 yard pile drive and turns to face the travelling support as if to say ‘I’ve done my part, are you coming on or not?’

Winner against Man City in a 7-6 thriller.

Stealing the ball from Mahrez, powering his way through the middle, nutmegging Fernandinho and Rodri simultaneously and then smashing it under Ederson's crossbar from 30 yards. Then immediately getting a 2nd yellow and subsequently a red card for an unnecessary challenge in the central circle as Man City proceed to restart.

After signing for Manchester City for £283 million, on his debut against us in August 2020  he scores 2 own goals and is promptly substituted. We go on to win 3-2.

I think Carragher was a holding midfielder and right back when he was with Liverpool’s youth teams and first coming through. Sure I’ve heard him mention it before, but I guess a lot of centre backs would have played centre mid as youth players then moved back as teams wanna build from the back, from how comfortable Soyuncu is on the ball woukdnt surprise me if he used to play in midfield.

A lot of defenders who make the top level were previously CMs, wingers or strikers. The talent they had would be way above the rest of the players at those age groups and they could have played in more influential positions. To make the grade however they’ll have had to be moved to somewhere across the back because they might not have been technically good enough to play professionally at CM but were very capable full backs or centre halves. Happens to far more players than people realise.
