No political discussion in this topic. That is complaining about a country, a politician, a party and/or its voters, etc

There’s something about Priti Patel that makes me want to put a chair through the TV screen.

I think she's a bit of a fox...

Nah don't think she supports city. 😉

Why should she stop? Most people agree with her opinions when it comes to crime and punishment. I get the feeling she enjoys the outrage as well when metropolitan liberals like Marr lose it so bad they falsely accuse of her laughing.

So much paranoia around at the minute and she's showing here she is more than capable of handling a press conference.

They really don't. Only mainly the right wing driven readers of trash like the Mail and Express.

Did Priti Patel really say “I’m sorry if people think they’ve been failings?” Hilarious. She really doesn’t give two Christian Fuchs does she? “I’m sorry you’re an idiot and think stupid things. Fuch you and whatever povy bike you rode in on.” No wonder the civil service hate her. And seniors have quit because of her. Seems like class A psychopath and bully. Thoughts and prayers to the civil service then.

Oh they do, you are only showing here what a bubble you live in.

I get the feeling some people have been waiting for Ms Patel to make an appearance.   lol

She could be kept cosy and warm in basket away from the public eye. There's no reason an elected department head should be in public view during a crisis.

Hello friend! It's always nice to have a discussion about a topic. I know it sounds strange but actually value your opinion and the reasons for your opinion. Yet trying to shut a conversation down with "look at all these people and look at this graph" limits the discussion somewhat.

Seems like anyone can make a misstep, whether quoting figures or making strange statements on FT.

Sadly she's no anyone. I love her to be anyone. I sometimes go to sleep and dream that she's anyone. But then I wake up and realise she's not just someone, but an elected department head with a huge amount of power and influence over the British government and people.

If Dianne said that I think most everyone would be amazed that she had improved so much

I know @murphy had posted it. I deliberately used that as a cut and paste to make a point.

Didn't Dianne make some stupid numerical error a while back and the Tory's started digging the grave for her political career immediately? I'm going to wildly suggest we don't eject Priti from the political landscape because of a numerical error but because she seems like a psychopath who doesn't even have the courtesy to hide it behind a funny haircut, jokes or a silly walk. Unacceptable.

Pretty much what I'd say but in different words lol

The double standards are not surprising I guess.

And now just wait for the mental gymnastics to justify why person from preferential team "x" making a mistake is an acceptable misunderstanding, but it's outrageous for individual from opposing team "y" to make numerical errors, because of "slight arbitrary difference (a) and (b) and (c)"
