He’s not protecting his face though is he he’s trying to block the shot.  With a completely straight outstretched arm.  Totally different set of circumstances and ludicrous to even attempt to compare them.

His are is bent in exactly the same way de Bruyne's was. De bruyne is trying to block the shot too, they both are.
