I was really disturbed by a Mercury article which suggested 46% of fans want him sold. I just don’t for the life of me understand that - would be ridiculously nonsensical to me to get rid of one of our brightest prospects.

Hopefully they get promoted and he can go back there. 23 and being first choice in the championship would be good for him. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong but didn't he have an excellent under 21 campaign for Denmark in the summer.

 

As for the figure, I bet at least 46% of our 'fans' have never even heard of him. The fact that less than 10% want to sell Silva, Ghezzal and Diabate kind of says it all.

Clearly highly rated at the club then, that’s now 2 teams he’s gone on loan to and Impressed at. Maybe one more season out on loan in the championship? Or back with us to be back up

If you're getting a 5 and half year deal as a 22 year who's not played a PL game, the club must rate him incredibly highly. Would imagine he'll be a decent wedge for his circumstances.

 

Hope he gets a chance here as much as I love Kasper.

Playing the long game with him I suppose, keepers careers can go on longer than outfield players and there’s nothing worse than throwing a young keeper in who may make a mistake or two and them getting pelters. Even if we don’t see him till he’s 25 he could have 10 years as our No1.

Fair enough he's committed, if he's happy to bide his time then fair play so kind of overrides my initial concerns in the first few posts.

How many people did they ask? One hundred? And 46 said "He's a goner"? Hardly representative of the fanbase as a whole, most people will probably never heard of him at all.

I wouldn't read too much into it.

I remember him saying and he was highly rated from where we go him from (can’t remember who). Does seem to pull off some decent saves in the limited highlights on highlights show on quest! Obviously doing something right at Rotherham given their league position! Good work, happy to give him a go as 3rd choice depending on what ward does this summer

Glad to see Iversen has got a new long-term contract. If we can keep him, I think that's the GK position sewn up for some time. I wonder how our U23s keeper Viktor Johansson is thought of at the club too?

Looking at transfermarkt we got Iversen from a random Danish youth team in 2015. Are you thinking of Johansson our other U23 keeper who we got from Villa? From the U23 games I’ve seen, I personally think Johansson is the better of the two. Iversen is very Kasper-like in all aspects of his goalkeeping.
