From the athletic re sarr Watford

Leicester may be in the market for a wide player. Demarai Gray has refused to sign a new deal and is in the last year of his contract so they would look to replace him even after the arrival of Cengiz Under from Roma. The price may be at a prohibitive level though, it’s understood signing players in the £20-30 million bracket is in line with their budget.

@Ric Flair we need a list of wingers we could sign for 20-30m!!

I still think we need a LB as a priority.

Sessegnon from Spurs covers both of these. Its a signing that would make a whole lot of sense to me.

Castagne is currently on the right so there is a place at LB for him as it stands.

When Ricardo is back and Castagne moves to the left, Sessegnon would ne a great back up to not only LB but LW too.

Next season, if we were to sell Ricardo, Castagne goes to his preferred right side and we have a ready made replacement of Sessegnon at LB with Thomas hopefully having a years loan behind him to provide cover...

No faith in Justin at all, huh?

I really think we should offer a contract to Luis Suarez. He failed with his move to Juventus due to a fraudulent attempt at Italian citizenship. Barca seem to be blocking his move to athletico. He seems to be running out of options and we wouldn’t be the worst one for him with his previous relationship with Rodgers.

it’s ambitious but I think we should at least ask the question. All he can do is say no after all!

Where do you play him? He's not going to sit on the bench for Vardy. We're not going to go two up top.

Unfortunately I don't. I know he is young and is prone to mistakes but last year when he got a run at RB I wasn't too impressed with him going forward and this year, I think he has been suspect defensively on the left. At fault for two goals against Burnley. Interestingly, I thought he looked at his best last year when he played RCB in a three.

In my scenario where Ricardo left next year, there WOULD be a place for him.

Sessegnon and Thomas on the left.

Castagne and JJ on the right.

He’s a player with such quality that if he’s available I would make space for him. Whether that’s playing him just behind Vardy or going to a three at the back and having two strikers

Think we've learnt our lesson with big name Charlie's, like Slimani. So I think once bitten, twice shy is a no from me for Count Dracula.

Hardly the same as Slimani. He can actually play football for a start.

Yes, I agree. He would certainly add a bit of bite to our attack.

According to Slippy in his book he hates Rodgers.

Not particularly who I want but I think we could do a lot worse than smalling for 18 million. Also that young lad at Everton Gordon is apparently pissed at being left out of summat. But he’s made a great start to the season and looks exciting. I’d have a look at him and then some.

The Evans/Smalling combo? Yeah I've seen that not work in the past...

No. But what about a back three with Cags? We need depth and his experience would not be a bad thing.

Has Smalling played in a back three either at Man Utd or Roma?

So what ... is he unable to adapt? I don’t get the vitriol. It’s a who’d you want thread ... I think he’d do a job and he’d be a very good squad player with enormous experience at the very top level. Hence why I suggested I’d like him.

Where's the vitriol? I'm asking a question about his capabilities. If he's shown that he's adaptable to play in a three, then perhaps it might be worth considering. I doubt he'll conisder it though, as i think he has enjoyed himself and done well in Italy.

Diallo on loan with option to buy

Buendia on loan with option to buy if Norwich don’t get promoted

Fofana

Ideally even more, but realistically only if we can shift Iheanacho Gray Slimani Silva Ghezzal Diabate etc
