I know we’re not the tallest team in the world but just seems silly. Evans gets his head on loads but doesn’t finish!

Muzzy_Larsson Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 (edited) Fire sale started at Bournemouth. Nathan Ake signing for Man City for £35m. That's very good value in today's market. Edited 20 July 2020 by henrik_62
HighPeakFox Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 Ryan Bennett, purely for the tantrums it would induce here.

Our transfer record is still £32m for Tielemans - I can see us spending that much for a CB but it would have to be someone higher profile and quality.

Akes a quality defender, no chance would he be backup. Would also suit perfect as a lcb in a 3 with Evans and Soyuncu imo. 1

He wouldn't be back-up at Leicester though he'd stroll into the side.

Man City can afford to splash the cash for cover tho

Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 Good signing for 35m that. Proven Prem experience and they'll likely get their money back if they ever want to sell him. I reckon they'll sell John Stones, but not sure if I fancy him here
orangecity23 Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 When we have good defenders the first thing that happens is a million and one articles linking them to Man City, and then Pep sidling up to them in his creepy uncle Cardigan after a game to whisper sweet nothings into their ears. So this just cuts out the middleman really.

We have had this problem for years, we do not look to be anywhere near solving the problem.. We keep crossing balls into the box when we go wide, which is the equivalent of a corner and I have no confidence that we are going to create a chance never mind score from these position. I really wonder what they do in training. 1
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 If West Ham snag Eze they'll be heading in the right direction - him and Bowen are the sorts of signings they've not been making over the best part of the past decade. 1
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 July 2020 Posted 20 July 2020 Honestly just stick 30m in for Grealish. Can play as a 10 behind Iheanacho and Vardy or on the left wing. Will love to play with Chilwell and Maddison too. 2 1
