I can accept that we perhaps won't do as much business this window, but fresh faces are needed as we still have some glaring faults which came about under Puel that remain in place... our ability to break down a deep block. If we are to recruit 1 or 2 players... as long as it focuses on this issue, I think we will be sitting pretty.

Completely agree. I'd prefer we sign 2/3 high quality players  than make 5/6 average signings to make up for the extra games.

A good window would be clearing out the deadwood and a couple of real first team improvements. If we can do this I think we will have another good season.

If we sell Chillwell, his replacement becomes the most important signing.

Its all a big game of chess, things need to happen at other clubs to put things in motion. The Chillwell deal probably hinges on a replacement for us and Chelsea being able to sell Emerson. Both look plausible. Once we have that sorted we'll have the freedom to go and grab that winger we've been crying out for.

Honestly cannot see us signing anyone who is going to improve our squad dramatically we may get a player that will improve the bench.

I think the recruitment at our club has gone from one of the best to easily one of the worse.

Expect a 1 development player to take Mendys place on the bench and thats it.

In the last two transfer windows we've signed:

- Perez - absolute world beater

- Tielemans - Pre Congerton

- Praet - il give you that one

- Justin - absolute world beater

- Bennett (loan) - absolute world beater

The only one of those that hasn't worked out was Bennett. We probably paid a tad too much for Perez, but he's had a decent season with a good contribution, whilst played out of position. Let's not forget, that 'woeful' recruitment saw us narrowly miss out on 4th place.

We're now in the midst of a pandemic and potentially one of the hardest transfer windows to purchase players in, where minus Chelsea, no team has spent much.

If this is how some of our fans react after our 2nd best Prem finish, I'm bloody glad I didn't see how you reacted when we were piss poor. Winning the league has made some of our fans lose all sense.

This is just wrong. Apart from Bennett, we’ve been very good in the market since January 2016.

On top of this not everyone comes good straight away I remember when people were getting annoyed that person kept playing vardy and thought knockaert was better than mahrez.

Even if you are not pleased with recruitment so far ( which I am) you have to give them time

Yes exactly that was my point he has done brilliantly to step up and you have to give people time to settle in you can't expect them to be world beaters on day one

Wowser. Is this a joke? Easily one of the worst? What's that based on? The Bennett signing? We only went for him because the quotes for everyone we wanted were overinflated. It was a cheap backup option. Obviously not first choice.

I think we all have concerns about Congerton, but we have no idea how much influence he has at the club, and also whether he's been restrained by budgets or the profile of the clubs he's been at before. I suggest reserving judgement until it's clear he's any sort of hindrance to us. It's certainly a lot less stressful!

I bet the Duty Free industry is currently booming, we have got billions to spend......

FFS Messi wants out of Barca, why haven't we signed him yet?

Our signings, while not always the best, have been fairly consistent and far from the worst.

Just remember - Palace bought Benteke for nearly £30 million and gave him a 5 year contract. Other than one half decent season, he's given them a grand total of 6 goals in the past three years. At least we had the good sense to loan Slim out when it wasn't working.

The state of some of our fans. Either clueless or so entitled they may as well move to London and support Man Utd. You know who you are, I shall not resort to naming  and shaming . But relax, get a beer and calm the **** down. You are looking like tools.

Exactly, the people who are the quickest to point that out are now the ones saying we have nothing to spend due to the downturn in King powers business. The pessimism some people show is astonishing. Imagine being that miserable all the time lol

No shortage of money when it comes to king power racing.Getting a few winners lately. Over 100 horses they own paid out millons. So 3 more winners and we can buy a few players.

No duty free,no flights, People’s jobs under threat, no gate receipts, season ticket refunds, have a look at the club shop reductions, no Europe, higher wages, higher prices for players, less tv money, and so far no signings.....and it will continue in the short medium term....not at all miserable, more realistic.....
