Watching the training session for Chelsea, there didn't seem to be any of the first team regulars training - please tell me he isn't playing the "reserves" and youngsters?! I'm sure the others were doing different training right? 🤷‍♀️

The clip being referred to.

Around 1:10 in they run through scoring opportunity drills and you can see a fair mix of both first teamers (including Barnes and Perez at a quick glance) mixed with likes of Luke Thomas and a RB who I'm not sure of their name.

I was a lot more hopeful for this until I saw Chelsea beat Man City... :ermm:

Man City were toying with them for most of the match but didn’t have the defensive capability to withstand their counter attacks

however, Chelsea have a much deeper squad than we do and their kids are also v capable (you’ll probably  see Gilmour play a big part on Sunday) - they can rotate a lot of personnel if they want to and I think our only hope is that they do that and those coming in are a bit rusty. Given how far we look to be from rediscovering our rhythm, we aren’t going to see a difference like we did from Liverpool between Everton and palace .  Could be a long 90 mins ........ at least the weather won’t be hot ......

Yeah at one point I thought man city were going to rip them a new one. If Sterling had put that chance away ( or squared it to mahrez) it would have been game over and then they would most likely gone on to get another. Abrahams coming on changed the game. If Chelsea are serious about Chilwell we should insist on him coming the other way as part of any deal

1-3..

Chelsea must be licking their lips at the prospect of playing us at the moment.

Not with Evans , Soyuncu  and Ndidi they wont . Still gotta get a goal from somewhere though.

got my WhatsApp mixed up with FoxesTalk...

now that could be dangerous..:o

What I wanted to say/ ask was....

do people who predict glum score lines..0-2...1-3...etc   will they bother watching the match.??

I know it won't be easy on Sunday but I have faith..and always believe we can do it. Otherwise why torture yourself?

If only. He’s actually just what we need right now. His ability in the air would give us that other dimension.

Not a chance they would though

Fine if they don't to sell him to us, we don't want to sell Ben to them. Status Quo. Of course, all the pundits/media will be saying that Chelsea shouldn't be selling their players to potential rivals whilst at the same time we are being difficult/holding the player back etc etc. It cuts both ways. of course again they will be saying Chilwell will obviously want the move (he will no doubt also suddenly have become a Chelsea fan since he was in nappies and has always admired Lampard etc) but nothing said about the fact that Abrahams may be looking at the signings Chelsea have made (Werner & Co) and thinking that maybe he might have a better long term future elsewhere.

Your not wrong... but the reality is they won’t sell him.

If they do, they will be wanting more than we would sell chillwell for. A young English goal scorer won’t come cheap.

Of course they won't sell him.  Or certainly will not want to. My point is that we probably do not want to sell Chilwell, but every player has their price, and the more the media etc push it the more it unsettles the players until it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. If they suddenly starting telling everyone that Abrahams wants to come to Leicester, be part of the revolution as Vardys successor and that his mums best mate at school once dated someone who used to live next door to the bloke who cleaned Rodgers car for bob-a-job-week as a kid and that he has wanted to play for him ever since then who knows.

Never happen cos we are "little Leicester" and they are the mighty Chelsea, but he is the level of player we should be looking at. The more times we bid or are linked to these players the more likely it is that eventually we start to land them, as we then begin to be taken seriously.  I do think that within the game other clubs are now realising that we will not simply be rolled over in the transfer market and that they can no longer take their pick. Hence they use agents and the media in this way

I’d be more concerned we would become like everton. Signing players not good enough for the big clubs (iwobi, Walcott etc)

Personally I think we will get better players from Europe that want a chance to make it in the premier league.

I think our owners ambitions are somewhat higher than that. But i agree, obviously finances come into it along with FFP rules and we need to build gradually to get to the point where we can compete on wages etc with the top clubs. hence why we have to continue scouting for potential both at home and abroad along with the investment in the infrastructure such as the training ground and stadium expansion.

With the finances of clubs being hit by the pandemic etc, now could be the time to pick up a few bargains, assuming of course that our own finances will be up to it

Cant tell whether its playing matches behind closed doors/no Wembley trip for fans or if its us being in poor form but I'm not up for this game at all.

That will hopefully change when the match is on.

Would probably take a good performance but a narrow/unlucky defeat.

I hope that we treat it as a bit of a "free hit" and Brendan shows some bottle and releases some of the shackles and picks an attacking side. We need to get scoring again. A good performance here could give us needed confidence to get going.

I would like to see:

                     Kasper

Justin    Evans    Soyuncu Chilwell

                      Ndidi

  Perez   Maddison  Praet    Barnes

                     Vardy
