Posts like this do make me giggle.

We are in 3rd and have been above Chelsea for so long I can't remember any different. That shows that until now we have been the better team over the season. To infer that Chelsea are so much better than us is a fallacy and typical of Leicester fans.

Chelsea are not better than we are but they are very close to us in ability so we have a lot of close matches . We have to set up properly for this one,  if we do we can edge this but Rodgers has got to get it right.

Is there the potential for extra time in this game or have they scrapped it due to the break?

Good question found this on the FA website:

The Emirates FA Cup returns this weekend, with four quarter final ties scheduled across Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June which will be shown across the world.

We have eight Premier League clubs involved, with a place in the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium in July up for grabs following the return of professional football in England after the COVID-19 outbreak had forced the season to be put on hold.

With no replays at this stage of the competition, all four ties will be decided on the day with extra time and penalties if required.

First up is Norwich City’s game with Manchester United at Carrow Road on Saturday evening (5.30pm BST, live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK) before Sunday sees a triple bill of ties.

Sheffield United will then host Arsenal at Bramall Lane first, with that game starting at 1pm BST before Leicester City take on Chelsea at 4pm BST, with both ties live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate in the UK.

The final match comes on Sunday evening when Manchester City travel to the north east to face Newcastle United at 6.30pm BST, which can be seen on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.

And football fans around the world will be able to see the games live or enjoy highlights with our global regional broadcast partners listed below.

I had wanted us to rest a couple of players for this to ensure we are fresh for Premier League run-in, but our form is so bad that we could do with a good performance to hopefully kick start some kind of rhythm or confidence.

Schmeichel

Justin - Evans - Soyuncu - Chilwell

Ndidi

Praet       Maddison

Perez                               Barnes

Vardy

Given our penchant for draws vs this lot in recent years, there's a fair chance of extra time on Sunday. We need to put a strong team out for several reasons, one being they need the fitness and to find some form and also because a win will boost confidence and still give us a chance of winning a trophy we have never won in our history.

Call me a prat but if we risk top 4 in the pursuit of FA Cup glory I can just about stomach that as long as we show some fight and energy, what will be disgusting will be the whole season feel like it's petered out on both fronts from turgid and sluggish football.

sadly true but Man U will have to make choices at semi final stage re priorities which could affect their league games at that point .... but whatever happens we will have to beat Man City ...... top will want a day at Wembley with the world watching his team so I expect us to go for it on Sunday (that doesn’t mean Fuchs won’t play I/o chilly although to rest chilly against Chelsea will have inevitable media consequences) and take a point at Goodson if that’s what it takes to get through to the semis .

We need to go into the Everton match like it's a cup final and win. A point at Everton is not good enough....we need all 3 points desperately.

if we go into extra time, are we allowed to bring on a 6th or 7th sub? (11 subs in total).

One extra (sixth) sub can be used for extra time.

Completely agree. Before I wanted to focus on CL as financially that is so important. However we need to get our best team out on the pitch and play it until we find form. I have no problems if we lose but we play well. At the moment it's hard to see how we will get back clicking after being so bad this week. Hope by putting that team out, it will happen sooner rather than later.

I think we will put out a decent side for this and I’m sure we will be up for it. Regardless who is in the 1st 11, I just hope we do ourselves proud and really show some aggression. It’s going to be a tough game but with a bit of luck there is no reason we can’t win.

As i said earlier this game could be make or break for the season in terms of morale. Whatever 11 players take the field at 4pm, if they cannot get themselves motivated for an FA cup QF then there is something fundamentally wrong with their attitudes and we may as well bin the lot of them off. I dearly want us to win this and progress just for the buzz it would create but if we go down then lets at least make a fight of it.

If we have a proper go and still get beat so be it, but please let us not go out with a wimper trying to play not to lose. Winning this would not only be a great confidence booster, but, especially if we play well in doing so, it will set out a marker and turn the heat on the chasing pack in the league.

I really hope you’re right and we show some spirit but when we go through these 💩 patches they can take a while to get out of ..

..did you watch the League Semis!!!

You would never had believed there was a final at stake having watched the both legs.

What does Rodgers say to the team before they take the field.

Rodgers appears to be caught in the headlights of an upcoming car and is unable to make a decision.

With his extensive years in management you would have thought he would have found his way around the Low Block....or perhaps he feels he hasn't got the personnel?

I have this feeling too . That they will be up for it it’s about the right time for the change the players and management know what’s taking place. Teams are coming and defending from the off men behind the ball. We are getting there but need to have a little patience that most on here don’t have. Another transfer window and Rogers will be developing his team nicely. It’s a win from me 🤫🤫🤪🤪

I haven't been impressed at all with maddison this season at all, then again I feel the same about Youri, I just feel as if Youri will more likely play the defense splitting pass than shoot from 30 yards out

I know Maddison is not at his best right now, but I do wonder what he has to do to be accepted by some of our fans. it feels as though having a style outside of football that causes resentment colours judgement of his football. That, and the fact he dares BE FRIENDS with people outside of our football club.

I'm not one for silly hand routines it must be said, but then I am nearly 50. it doesn't stop me thinking he's a damn good footballer, and the stats tend to back that up.
