Of course it has a bearing, they have less time to prepare and recover.

In the league game at the Bridge possession was 50/50 and the King Power it was 49.7/50.3 so not sure wht you expect chelsea to have a bigger share of the possession.

Chelsea have 2 strong starting 11's we barely have 3 or 4 strong back up players. It will make no difference because there fringe players are Hudson-Odoi, Batshuayi, Pedro, Zouma, Tomori, Jorginho, Gilmour and Emerson (none of which played any part in there last match) our reserves are Bennett, Morgan, Fuchs, Albrighton, Praet, Choudhury, and Ward

Put the reserves out!.

Top 4 finish must be our priority.

After the Brighton shambles we've got no hope of beating Chelsea anyway.

I'd rather us win the FA cup if it was one or the other

If Chilwell is rested for this I would think that confirms that he is already on his way and he has been dropped because his head would not be in the right place.

Hope he starts, plays a blinder, scores a screamer like at Watford to dump them out the cup and sticks two fingers up to Lampard.

Team selection could be telling here but in Rodgers defence whatever side he picks he will no doubt get slated by some if we lose. Put out a weakened side and he is disrespecting the cup and not giving the first choice much needed match practice,  strongest 11 and he is throwing away CL by not resting key players. Damned if we do damned if we don't

Beat Chelsea and we still have Man City and Man United to beat to win it....do you genuinely in your heart of hearts think we can beat Man City?

I'd be tempted to bench Vardy for this. He hasn't been anywhere near scoring so why not give Nacho a chance.

He hasn't been anywhere near scoring because we barely passed the ball forward the last couple of matches!!

Exactly right!!

A season's hard fought top 4 finish put at risk to get hammered by Manchester City in the final?..

No thanks.

Yep, completely agree. Even if we get past Chelsea on Sunday, we all know we're going to lose to the eventual winners Man City somewhere along the line.

Sack the cup off, focus on securing top 4!

Absolutely not but putting the reserves out for this doesnt increase our chances of finishing in the top 4 based on what we've seen so far. I'd take winning this over a top 4 finish any day though

Chelsea should at least come at us, rather than parking the bus and expecting us to break them down.

Might play into our hands if Youri and Madders can lift their game and actually give Vardy something to play off.

I think prioritizing the CL over the FA Cup should be beyond a given.  Nevertheless, the fact is that we've been largely awful for a very long stretch of football.  Vardy looks completely isolated and unable to generate anything himself.  Maybe making a bunch of changes for Chelsea isn't hurting our chances, but helping them.  When what you're doing isn't working try doing something else.

I wouldn't mind either way, actually. He already rested 3 key players against Brighton, if he started with a very strong side it would make sense, and if he didn't then it also makes sense.

sadly true but Man U will have to make choices at semi final stage re priorities which could affect their league games at that point .... but whatever happens we will have to beat Man City ...... top will want a day at Wembley with the world watching his team so I expect us to go for it on Sunday (that doesn’t mean Fuchs won’t play I/o chilly although to rest chilly against Chelsea will have inevitable media consequences) and take a point at Goodson if that’s what it takes to get through to the semis .

I cant wait for some more Sky transfer speculation being mentioned, on Chilwell n Chelsea. Imagine if Lampard after the game chats with him, theyl be losing their shit on it.

Can't help thinking Brendan had one eye on this game given the Brighton selections. Chelsea will have to go with squad players with not much rest after Man City game. Wouldn't make a judgement on our chances based on the Brighton game. Every chance that this will be very different.

Time to unleash the 14/15 3-4-1-2 cheat mode tactic

                    Schmeichel

          Soyuncu   Evans   Fuchs

Albrighton   Tielemans  Ndidi   Chilwell

                         Maddison

                  Iheanacho   Vardy

I felt like the Brighton game would have been good for that.

Definitely have to bring more height in , they mugged us twice last time so Bennet or Fuchs at the back, still prefer Barnes to  Ihaenacho though because of his extra pace.

Can the so called reserves be any worse than the so called first team that have been absolute garbage in the last 2 games?

I remember that Sporting CP match too well for this to make me shudder :P

Posts like this do make me giggle.

We are in 3rd and have been above Chelsea for so long I can't remember any different. That shows that until now we have been the better team over the season. To infer that Chelsea are so much better than us is a fallacy and typical of Leicester fans.

If Albrighton ever plays wing back again we’ll get slaughtered!

Best XI. Give it everything.

Two huge games coming up. Win both & the rest of the season looks very promising. Lose both and it won’t be ‘are the wheels coming off’ but ‘why did the wheels come off’!
