Hopefully our players will have a bit more space to attack, and therefore gain a bit of confidence. Chelsea playing Man City on Thursday could help us, need to be braver. We have a chance but we need to be much better.

Pfft, an easy win for Chelsea. I don’t think even think we will put up a fight.

:scarf:That's the spirit.

Got to be full strength, this will be good for us three games in and regardless of the result we should ab e kicked off the cobwebs at least.

Chelsea will set up in a completely different way to Watford and Brighton and I think it will suit our play a bit more.

Tielemans will be the key, if he plays and and plays well we win.

Kasper

Justin

Evans

Soy

Chillerz

Ndidi

Tielemans

Madders

Barnes

Vardy

Gray

It’s worse than we thought.

My hope for this match is we create a few chances and get more than 2 shots on target, Vardy has at least a couple of chances, we pass the ball forward more and don't get humiliated.

I reckon we'll win this game.

If I were Brendan I'd try something completely different to the home game against Brighton and really mix it up compared to what we saw.

I'd go...

Schmeichel

Justin Soyuncu Evans Chilwell

Tillermans Ndidi Maddison

Perez Vardy Barnes

The reason we played Mendy yesterday was to rest players for this game - The players that ended yesterdays game will I think be the ones to start the next against Chelsea in the cup.

Well we’ve played them twice already this season and haven’t beaten them once so let’s hope 3rd times a charm ey.

They haven't beaten us either... Maybe we'll draw again and go through on penalties :D

Yes, true but they haven't beaten us either, and we pretty much dominated both games against them so I would say we have a decent chance.

Good job every game is different and doesn't always go to form then. I love it how 2 games in to post lockdown footy and suddenly we are an awful team. It's 2 points 2 games not an absolute disaster. We are more than capable of beating Chelsea.

Problem is it's not just 2 games though, the lockdown is no excuse because apart from the Villa game this is how we've been for a good portion of the season now.

The stalemate at an empty King Power Stadium means City have still won just twice in the Premier League since New Year’s Day, putting them 15th in the 10-game form table.

Their cushion inside the top four could now be cut to six points, down from 14 points before Christmas.

Perhaps the one bright thing about Brighton is that we can play a full strength side against Chelsea, who will not be smart enough to play to our weakness and nullify Vardy the way Brighton did.

It looks like we're the ones nullifying Vardy with our insipid approach to games as this is not the first game Vardy's been completely isolated.

The short turnaround is going to be hard for Chelsea.

Can see Big Wes coming back in to try and stop Giroud only for them to start Tammy Abrahams.

Brendan needs to pull his finger out or go. There is no excuse for the pathetic lack of attacking we've seen over the last 2 games.

Vardy needs to touch the ball in the box heading towards the goal - we've got the deadliest striker in the league and it's as though he's non-existent. Maddison or Tielemans need to be putting passes through to Vardy or Nacho and not pushing them wide to Justin and Chilwell. Barnes/Gray/Perez/Albrighton/ midfielders need to be busting a gut to get into the box when Chilwell and Justin have the ball wide down the wings and not going towards this players ( or behind them) to play some silly tippy tappy triangle passes. Evans, Soyuncu and Kasper need to pass forwards not sideways.

We are a good team but the management are letting us fans and the owner down.

I think that's taking credit away from Brighton, Watford, and others. Even at our best recently Vardy has often been quite isolated.

Doesn't look good for us based on recent performances, but perhaps the cup is what we need to get us competitive again? Not having the crowd will also be a big miss, with the KP there it could have roared us on, but since the restart you can see the lack of a crowd is affecting our players negatively.

Hope the boys turn up, we've looked well off the pace!

Well exactly, so it wasn't just Brighton and Watford, we're not finding ways to get Vardy into the game more no matter who we're playing. We need to be more inventive, have more movement, move quicker up the pitch and take more risks going forward like we were earlier in the season.

We seems to have lost out 'bottle' since the Norwich game.

I would prefer to see Praet playing alongside Tielemans, Maddison seems to stifle Tielemans so maybe pushing Maddison ahead of the 2 Belgians with Vardy & Barnes playing off him. Same back 5 with Wilf sitting in front. Rodgers needs to lift the tempo as the last 2 games were awful to watch... :scarf:

Tielemans stifles himself. I seriously wonder what so many of you have seen from Youri this season that keeps getting this reaction. Treacleman  has been a serious letdown after last season. I just want to see Tielemans pass the ball forward to Vardy or Nacho and not sideways or backwards. I'm happy to blame Brendan instead of Youri though if you want.

Still whoever we play out of Maddison,Tielemans and  Praet should be good enough they are all good players. Proof of the puding has shown us otherwise. Surely It's Praet's turn to blow it now. He hasn't put a foot wrong in the two games since lockdown.

I really think Praet deserves to be playing. He was great before lockdown and at least plays with passion and desire. He always makes runs forward and can deliver that killer pass.  He should definitely start.
