I could have played for Leicester if my career wasn’t cut short by a chronic lack of talent.

I could have been the next Ade Akinbyi but too bad I knew how to finish 😔

This came to mind after just listening to Tim Vickery on the radio.

Brazils first ever international game was against Exeter City!

https://thesefootballtimes.co/2018/01/23/the-english-connection-how-exeter-city-led-to-the-creation-of-the-brazil-national-team/

Saw a TV programme on this, If I remember correctly they toured all over S. America against the wishes of the FA and the Manager/Coach was banned from any football for life when they got back.

That could be all rubbish and about something entirely different.

In Luis Suarez’s 1st game back after his first child was born he scored 1 goal in the match, in his first game back after his 2nd child was born he scored 2 goals in the match and in his first game back after his 3rd child was born he scored 3 goals in the match.

That's no excuse.

Look at most of the blokes who played for us 2004-2008.

Not surprising but notable all the same

Manchester City completed 787 of their 840 passes this evening against Newcastle, recording a pass completion rate of 93.7% - the highest passing accuracy we have on record in the Premier League since 2003-04.

4-2 is the most common world cup final scoreline (after extra time).

By comparison, 1-0 is the most common world cup tournament scoreline.

The 1923 FA Cup Final is the only major football match, where you can make the attendance to be anything you like.

It was officially about 126,000.   Others estimate it as 160,000.   Some estimate it as high as 200,000.   I've even see it listed as 300,000.

Personally, I reckon it was over 500,000.   Nah, let's round it up and call it a million.

Josh Low never let it stop him.

Light-weight!
