Bertrand Traore

Yeah I'm not sold on Traore, that said he will be available for a knock down fee. Way less than £20m, Lyon need funds and its highly likely they haven't got European football next season unless they win the CL 😂

He would be a last ditch signing in late September if we haven't managed to get Trincao or another top target. Whats David Neres up to these days? 🤪

Put your purse away lol

Might as well just say Ghezzal / Chiesa - straight swap yeah? :)

I take that back @Ric Flair

Chisea consistently seems to post some decent numbers, numbers increasing as he matures too

:nigel:

So maybe Ghezzal and 10m....

Ajax have already signed Neres's replacement in Antony. Given his bad injury last season and the current financial crisis, a season long loan with an option to sign for £35m next summer would be lovely.

What has he done to his knee???

Have to wonder if he is even going to come back anywhere like what he was if he is not back after 280 days

edit: seems its "meniscus cartilage in his knee."

...his numbers are nothing to write home about!!!

He is skillful, has drive and wants to attack a defence, we don't have that kind of mentality within our team.

He brings defenders on to him and like a lot of players of his ilk he fails to capitalize on the spaces he has created drawing defenders out of position. He, like Gray has a need to have the spectacular finish after a great run and dribble, there is no reason why he can not raise his head and lay the ball off for a tap in for a colleague, you can see the frustration on his support runners that the pass never came, all Traore is doing is letting his talent become wasted due to his inability to see the big picture.

I really wonder what coaches do on a day to day basis, do they have their favourites and work mostly with them or are they aware of short comings of certain players and seek to improve them.

He has played in this fashion for sometime, it has not been stamped out and it should have been a long, long time ago.

Explain the art of the game see if he can see the need for putting people in space as a contribution to the team and not to lay the ball off as an afterthought. It really does not matter who scores, that really needs to be drummed into him, just to have the vision to cut a defence to ribbons after you have dragged them from their positions and laid it off to someone else is all he needs to learn.

He also barely ever starts though, so he’s highly likely not to get significant goals/assists. I don’t rate either Traore or Gray.

Thing is, when he does start his record is worse than when he comes on as an impact sub. How many ties have we seen him have two/three good games off the bench. Gets into the starting line-up, and by the halftime everyone is screaming for him to be subbed?

Very fair point. He’s definitely better trying to impact a game against tired defences.

Traore would be competing with Gray in a way, definitely not a significant upgrade on what we have - which is what we need!

..seems steep,, considering his ability to overcome is injury!!!

It would be folly to set a price of £35m when we do not know if he will be the same after his injury.

I am a big Neres fan, but let's wait and see how he looks when back to fitness.

Probably a little steep but that's what the loan is for, possibly the only chance we'd have of getting him is this injury problem hampering his progress. Seems he's still not back fit, shame.

Demarai Gray has qualities.  He made some good contributions last season.  He could do more.  If he remain s a Leicester player, we should back him.

If Traore improves our squad excellent.

Dismissing Traore as another team's Demarai Gray is discombobulating.   A current player and a potential signing both maligned in one post.

I like Gray, effective second choice winger... should probably get more game time, or be put in the ole gunner, super sub catagory.

Last 14mins ideally

Traore.

Trincao.

Anyone else with a 'Tr' at the start of their name we can be linked to? Trippier and Trezeguet next?

Weren't we supposedly interested in Trossard before he went to Brighton?
