Not complaining that Fofana isn't starting as it's good for us but can anyone confirm if Badiashile and Kounde are actually better than him?

They are very good.

Monaco and Sevilla fans probably rave about Badiashile and Kounde respectively as much as we do for Fofana.

Its mad how many good centre back France have. Fofana, Kounde, Badiashile, Konate, Upemacano all young then the 1st team choices of Kimpembe, Varane, Lenglet, Laporte etc etc. And we just have Stones who's any good and an average Maguire. Fofana would start for England's 1st team if he was English

He will probably play for them forever. A 50 year old Evans will still be better than any guff they are likely to have over the next 15-20 years.

He might be aiming for a 100 caps as he's just into the 90s at the moment.

The year is 2038 and 50 year old Jonny evans is making his 200th appearance for Northern Ireland. He hasn't played club football in over a decade but still remains the best option for the ni national team. He lines up in defence with Mick Davis who plays his club football for Glentoran, paddy mcginn who plays for linfield and Conor ferguson who is unattached. NI haven't won a game in over a decade but are hoping for a draw in tonight's friendly with mongolia who lost 25-0 to kuwait last week. Football is dark in Northern Ireland but evans remains a shining light and will go down in history as the greatest ever player to play for Northern Ireland just beating David healy and Jim from coleraine

Jim from Dundalk would play for the Republic, 'tis over the border.

I only know as I'd googled how far away from me it was when i thought we could draw them in the Europa League 😂

I'm pretty good with geography in England and not too bad with Scotland and Wales but not a clue with Ireland as I've never been to either republic or Northern. Ah well, note to self. Always do a quick Google search before posting on ft 🤣

Or hope the Leicester fan living in Northern Ireland isn't reading 😂

To make it worse, Jim who's now from Coleraine, could actually play for the Republic or Northern Ireland as you're free to choose either 😂

Either way, he's still not better than a 50 year old Evans.

the covid part will take a little time to know about ....... I would hope that returning players are asked not to socialise with those that remained until they have had a test. I would also hope that we would be carrying out lateral flow tests every day to ensure that an outbreak couldn’t gain any traction. Given the widespread availability of these tests, there is no excuse for any clubs having widespread infections now ........

Doesn't current Covid protocol require a test upon arrival?

Furthermore, all the international players have had several tests during the break.

Or in the case of Rice and Grealish, just choose England 🤣

Surely he’ll have to isolate for 14 days or whatever is the norm over there? Can’t see him being available for Saturday if he’s a close contact of a case :( It would risk infecting the entire squad.

That's not the protocol.
