Do clubs get a choice in competitive games?

The views of their medical teams are taken into account .....Dennis cannot be 100% match fit

There has been a new rule implemented this season. Belgium must have at least on fox on the pitch at any given time

Sounds like everyone thus far is coming back injury- and Covid-free... :appl:

the covid part will take a little time to know about ....... I would hope that returning players are asked not to socialise with those that remained until they have had a test. I would also hope that we would be carrying out lateral flow tests every day to ensure that an outbreak couldn’t gain any traction. Given the widespread availability of these tests, there is no excuse for any clubs having widespread infections now ........

Soyuncu's team mate has tested positive for Covid 19. Hope he's not passed it on.

Surely he’ll have to isolate for 14 days or whatever is the norm over there? Can’t see him being available for Saturday if he’s a close contact of a case :( It would risk infecting the entire squad.

I just saw on twitter he apparently tested positive 7 days ago and has been isolating in a hotel room ever since, which is why he hasn’t actually played for Turkey during this international period

Well that's not the case is it with elite sports players because otherwise every positive case would have resulted in postponement of games for 2 weeks and so on and on. Games only get called off when there's a mass outbreak.

All that would have happened was, they'd have had covid tests and of negative then they carry on as normal.

Perhaps you’re right, but you’d expect close contacts of a confirmed case to have to quarantine otherwise it potentially risks the rest of the squad. Got admit I don’t know how they do things over there in practice. Anyway it seems it doesn’t apply in this case.

They must have a ridiculous team if he’s only on the bench again.

Their centre halves are class and his lack of time with the squad probably the reason he isn’t starting. He played right back first game but was dropped

Doesn't really matter ...  we'll still be selling him for 100m+ in a season or two ...   amazing prospect and very career minded is Little Wes ...

Their cbs are unbelievable. The strength and depth that the French have at the current moment is ridiculous. Wes has had to play rb in the first match. Guess it is good for us as teams may then take a punt on kounde rather than come for him.

Very good for us.

Can tap up his international team mates with a reduced chance of getting injured.
