We need to stop giving him the arm band. He didn't look remotely interested tonight and couldn't get off quick enough when we went down to 10.

Was in a sulk, doesn’t want to be here, thinks Brendan was a god.

Been a pretty decent player for us over the years, but if he’s not going to bother then might as well drop him

His forms dropped off in the last three games but I'm sure that partly linked to the injury he's apparently carrying.

Playing him wide right didn't work today. Need him central against Bournemouth with a left and right winger either side of him.

If he's frustrated it's because he's being asked to play wide and track back.

Beyond stupid. Play your best player in his best position.

What a load of rubbish for those who said he didn't care! He was waving his arms up and down at the crowd to get them going, before during and when he got subbed. Every missed pass you could see he was annoyed at himself. Just because he didn't play at his best doesn't mean he didn't care. All players have off days.

Playing our best player  out of position constantly is criminal. Sums the season up, incompetence at every level of the club.

So why the f**k doesn't tell the manager that he can't lay in that position.....it's not that hard!

He was clearly bothered but when you play your most influential player wide on the right one has to question the decision maker who put him there.

Recruitment has failed to find us someone to play there in five years, shambles.

Blocking people on Insta for commenting ‘we’ll be fine’ on his photos lol

Some of these lads need thicker skin, no wonder we’re a pushover.

Bit of a strange thing to do going at your best player

Is quoting his own comments going for him?

He’ll be absolutely slaughtered on a regular basis at a big club so he best start to prepare for it.

Played out of position when not at 100% fitness because of our lack of alternatives. No wonder it was a bad night at the office for Maddison.

He cares, I do not question that. But there is no doubt where he will be whether we stay up or not, gone somewhere else with European prospects.

Not a captain for me, but then who is, one good pass against Brentford for Barnes to score but other than that has been shite since having the armband. Not that it's all his fault of course but we rely on him so much he's not allowed to be off his game.

I can't work out if he really cares or is just good at coming across like he does.
