He's a man in a position of considerable authority, a figure that an enormous amount of the population think is trustworthy (as funny as that may be to us) and he uses that position to lie. Constantly. Over and over and over and over again. He's pathological, it's incredible.

So social media sites started putting warnings on his tweets when he's stating things as fact that aren't. They aren't deleted, they just have warnings on them.

What's wrong with that?

How anyone can say with a straight face that Donald Trump is censored when he's probably been the loudest world leader in history is frankly laughable.

It's a fair argument.  I am just rather anti online censorship full stop unless the law is broken.  I do see though that social media can influence a great deal.  honestly though I doubt Trump tweeting is changing anyone's' mind.

What that means is that 7% of protests featured violence in some capacity, not that 7% of the protests were made up of protesters intent on violence.  The true scale of the violence is therefore a fraction again of the 7%.

Another falsehood, Jon the Tinfoil Hat is it?  Ballot registration applications were sent out to people in quite a few states but only in something like 10 states did people automatically receive a ballot in the post as part of the local coronavirus measures and that was a service only extended to registered voters.  So a far cry from "most of the country".  Put the kool aid down.

Actually looking at it you are right, a pretty low % of votes are postal.  So this USPS thing is probably irrelevant.  I have no problem with postal voting.

Hoping for the best. A tight race that's impossible to call. Watch our Federal Government de legitimize itself and crash and burn in the process. Best thing that could happen for the world and the citizens of the US. Only way I see to end the corrupt corporate government owned by our wealthy masters.

Everything going according to plan. Keep fighting Donald. The element of corruption looms larger and larger. By both sides.

It looks increasingly like Biden will win, which on balance is probably the best outcome, even if he is not a great candidate.  Hopefully he can swing another state - perhaps Georgia, and the legal stuff will be irrelevant.

Of course they're anti Trump votes but I think "tone down the controversy by 10%" is a bit of a stretch.

The man has gone pretty much full on fascist dictator over the last year and that's without looking at the fact he's clearly in Putin's pocket, is a liability due to his about half a billion of debt, has dodged pretty much all taxes owed to his own country, ignored and lied about Russia paying extremists bounties to kill US troops, has overseen the worst virus response on the planet to the tune of hundreds of thousands of American lives, was controversially good friends with a pedophile socialite fixer, wished well to the pedophile socialite fixer's partner in crime, attempted to sabotage the postal system to throw this election, mused about postponing the entire election...!

10%!? Try 150%!

...Whilst also withdrawing from the Paris Accord, systematically erasing climate change from the EPA, initiated an unprecedented number of regulatory rollbacks and a launching a raft of deregulation that ignores science, restokes the rust belt and severely impacts public health, the economy and the environment. Oh yeah, did anyone mention that he failed to condemn the white supremacists at Charlottesville and only on the cusp of the election did he disavow the 'Proud Boys' after being advised to do so following the disastrous first debate. He also only narrowly averted impeachment for betraying his oath of office, U.S. national security, and the integrity of the country's elections due to the rank and file mobilisation of his similarly corrupt army of Republicans.

It was once said that actors make convincing presidents...ex reality tv stars, not so much.

Trump playing games over Wisconsin. Hope the next few declares shuts him right up.

I tried to get some election respite and turned over to the Champions League. No use, I found a red team trying to cheat their way to victory. Can’t get away from it!

His tweets about 'socialism' (and yanks wouldn't know socialism if it bit them on the arse) made a difference in Miami. that's from the mayor of Miami by the way.

Jon, I'm sorry, but **** off.

You and I have had countless debates on here over the years and despite the fact I might get a bit passionate sometimes in my outbursts, I think its nearly always been fairly respectful.

But absolutely **** off. There's categorically no way you believe that.

I think people who believe him will continue to do so, and people who won’t will continue to point out that he is talking bollocks.  I’m not sure this is exactly controversial.

The last election was between a complete nut job and Hilary ‘what emails’ Clinton ...   and this time it’s between a complete nut job and Joe ‘4 more years of George’ Biden ...

It would really be quite comical if it wasn’t to appoint probably the most powerful person on the planet ...

and people wonder why the anger and resentment runs so deep. A full time job for me to try to make peace with this world as it is and try to create something better for us all.

I do feel for you, because if Biden is the best you've got, God help you all.

Thank You. Its part of the process of the Empire dying. Hopefully we can just fade away as peacefully as possible without inflicting our horrors on the rest of the world any longer. My country needs to work out its own sxxt.

I imagine he won't last the 4 years and they'll remove him as soon as they can. I've no idea why the Democrats picked him to be honest. They had better candidates

Some of the things that Trump says are straight up dangerous.

Doesn't matter if you like him or not, this simply can not be disputed.

Well yes, they are incendiary, but that’s the whole point isn’t it?

Supposedly the game plan is after Biden wins and is sworn in, to disqualify him for health reasons, and have Harris takeover as Pres. who in turn would appoint Hillary Clinton as VP.        Happy Dayz :beer:sarc.

My post from yesterday. Kamala Harris not so much but all in for Bernie Sanders but the Democrats sabotaged him in the primaries.

But as @hackneyfoxsays I wouldn't know socialism if it bit me on the arse :fishing:

Some are, probably most are but I think there are some that are born out of outright ignorance. Some of his comments on covid for example.

(Cheers, had to look up the word "incendiary". Every day is a school day)

Oh for sure, but some seem so ridiculous as to be taken as parody.
