Won 4, Drew 3, Lost 10 = 15 pts

 

Puel also had games against Man C (twice) and Chelsea in the cups. Didn't progress in any of them.

 

By way of comparison, Rodgers first 17 league matches against "The Big Six"

Won 5, Drew 4, Lost 8 = 19 pts.

 

Rodgers overall league record vs The BIg Six now is: Won 8, Drawn 5, Lost 9

Up the league fox nowhere to be seen... until Puel’s name was mentioned. Shock :ph34r:

I think you'll find I've posted a hell of lot in this thread, sir.

And when someone suggested Puel was "the master" against the big clubs, I merely pointed out some facts which prove otherwise.

Blimey. I'd have assumed a 'Brendan deserves respect' thread after a 3-1 win over Liverpool to take us second would be slightly more harmonious than this one.

All we've heard from Liverpool is injuries, injuries, 16th CB pairing, Covid, players out of position, injuries etc.

 

Rodgers has had the following players out from injuries (currently missing in italics): Evans, Soyuncu, Ricardo, Justin, Fofana, Castange, Morgan, Amartey, Fuchs, Maddison, Ndidi, Hamza, Praet, Perez, Ünder and Vardy. At least 5 of them have been/will be out for at least 3 months. We’ve not had a full strength XI all season. 

 

Yet he's never whined about it. He's just got on with it. He's utilised his squad better than ever and has managed to beat Guardiola, Mourinho, Lampard, Arteta and now Klopp.
