Leicester City were (are?) small potatoes, very few people or companies benefitted from our league win (Fans aside) - the business of winning is exactly that, a business. A business that stinks of self-serving piss and sh!t maybe, but a business nonetheless. Businesses run on manageable expectations, and outliers such as us do not fit such a manageable environment.

 

But aside from the harsh realities :- Genuinely, f**k 'em, we won, so get better at our own jobs and stop trying to sabotage others.

They said 9 clubs would have the special vote but only 6 votes would be needed to pass through any major changes in distribution of revenues/prize money, European places, scheduling, quotas etc...

 

As if we don't know what kind of changes would be proposed and we don't know which 6 clubs would pass them through.

They won't reduce the money, they will just pay it in kind, by generously letting these EFL clubs take an (enforced) number of big 6 youngsters on loan (no option to buy)

Swapping parachute payments for 25% merely dilutes the money and makes it less likely a different team can get into the EPL

Yep. It would only be the start. If it went through the top six could then in theory vote to keep all the money for themselves the week after.

That sort of indignation is understandable, but its madness to deny the reality of the situation. The Premier League makes loads of money precisely because those teams are in, not in spite of them. I am not suggesting we become subservient or sycophantic to them, but to fail to recognise this reality does not suggest a workable solution will be found.

At least Man United don’t pretend to be something they’re not. Liverpool with this “it means more” and their socialist manager always try to come across as “ethical” and it ends up pissing you off more. 
 

This kills club football in this country and takes away any “business” element where the expenditure of a club is taken away by its competitors to stop others moving forward. It’s all good and well welcoming new money to the league but Liverpool and their owners will destroy our nations game and the sheer enjoyment of a pastime. They should be stopped and kicked out. I can’t believe any scousers are proud of their owners proposing this.

That is entirely different to a power grab
