For all his faults, Chilwell physically looked completely different to the boy that broke into the first team by the time he was sold to Chelsea.. 

 

Thomas looks exactly the same as he did in 2020..

He's not even got the excuse of youth any more - 25 this season, with 5 seasons of regular football behind him.

 

Should be in the prime of his career. He probably is in his prime but his career should absolutely not be here.

I have a terrible feeling in my gut that the club thought signing Thomas on for another 4 years was quite the coup and he’d be in this bracket. His wage would far out weigh his ability.
