Jake has confirmed on his Twitter feed that he signed for us yesterday.  And then he scored (again) for the Under 23's, in the win against Spurs.  Looks to be a good prospect.  I know a few have criticised the reminder of Smudger Smith (because of the way he left us), but if Wakeling does half as much in his time at City, as Smith did, I for one, would be very happy.

Wakeling - Leggeh pron = Way-Kling.

Surname Spelling Difficulty Rating (SSDR) = 6/10

Wakeling uses all British phonetics, which helps everybody.

It's that 'e' after the 'k' that's raising the SSDR to a 6.

Jake poses no problems and interestingly rhymes with Wake.

Potential spelling errors to watch out for.

Wakling, Waklin, Wakelin, Waking.

Racking up quite a body count of these development strikers now, seems to be a new one each season ever since we got back in the Prem.

Jacob Blyth, Ali Regbha, Ryan Loft, Josh Gordon. They're worth a go but you do wonder if Vardy's just stealing these lads ligaments, blood & tendons in a way to stay fresh - if so I'm all for it anyway.

Can’t believe there were any usable bits worth saving from Ryan Loft what I saw of him lol

Somewhat nailed on when you consider the FT history with ex-striker Chris Woods and ex-manager Martin O'Neil.

West Brom have a pretty good academy but clubs do make mistakes and let's hope this lad kicks on here. Their fans seem to be pretty annoyed on some of the comments on his twitter about their decision to release him last summer.

Many stories of clubs releasing kids and getting it badly wrong.

Brilliant Danny. The sort of post that makes the forum so very good at times.
