We were 200 odd for 2 in the first innings this time 2 days again

Don't think that's true at all, if anything it's the opposite in football.

Really?   very few teams are gung ho

the fascination for controlling the ball is about not conceding chances

However the current trend for playing out from the back is about risk and reward so you could argue that point

There is a difference between, positive and aggressive and just downright reckless.

And they will always pass off downright reckless as entertaining. This brand of cricket will do alright but the blind optimism and lack of responsibility on days like today will continue to irk me

Doubt most sides regardless of style would of batted out a day and a half in India with no chance of winning.

The one thing about this style of play is, if you get even a remotely sub par sort of score, then you give other sides a lot of time to play with.

Pretty awful couple of days, to say the least. Questions will be asked and there is a balance between believing in the methods and also hiding behind it.

It's going to look bad occasionally but its important we realise when it's going wrong and adapt quicker, see the match situation. We have scored a lot of runs playing this way, Duckett doesn't get his hundred for example without taking the same risks everyone else did, but you need it to come off for more than one of them to win a match against the best.

India have done well to prepare less spinning wickets in the last couple of tests, overly spinning wickets make our bowlers better and give them a chance. If you need that bit of skills, their spinners are much better. Can't let India get 400plus every first innings, bowlers haven't been threatening enough.

Robinson in for Wood and Bashir for Ahmed.

Probably weakens the lower order somewhat but good bowling changes ?

Going by reports of the wicket, l could do ok on it !

I don't think the changes will have much bearing on the result.

India resting Bumrah speaks volumes.

Just had it confirmed that we've got tickets for 5 x games in Barbados at the T20 World Cup in June.  :scarf:

The website nearly died under the weight of people trying to get tickets to the India/Pakistan/Ireland games in mainland USA.  They sold out straight away.

Barbados is fantastic. St Lawrence Gap is the place to go for evening entertainment/nightlife & food.

A tour of the island is a must too.

Enjoy.
