It won’t be a draw, there’s too much time left in the game. As long as England have enough time to get 500, we will win on this road. Top order won’t fail twice.

Weather isn't looking great for later today, Saturday and Sunday, think we will lose time.

Also think India will want a massive lead after last time and take a lot of time out of the game, in the 3rd.

A lot depends on today.

Win, lose, or draw, I love watching this England test team.
Just great entertainment.

It's clear that they back themselves no matter the situation and the spirit there is more than just platitudes to the press. and that's really important in general and specifically in terms of getting better results.

It's one of the reasons why I think the approach being applied now is worth defending so much when things go a little awry and some folks jump on it.

Stat hat: Brook has until roughly the end of the end of this series to get to 3000 Test runs to be the second fastest of all time to do it.

He's currently on a little over 2500.

I can sense England getting fairly close to the 1st innings total.

We go into bat and put up a paltry 200-250.

Then England go on to win at ease when they really had no right to at the end of day one.

Agreed, and we have to accept that it goes wrong some times. It only takes a couple of players to come off and you'll always get a competitive score. Preferably not after the opposition have hit 500 though..

It’s risk and reward isn’t it. I think the wickets we lost yesterday, especially Pope is a prime example of how it can go horribly wrong.

That’s when sometimes you might want to think “we’ve just lost our opener later on in day 2 let’s just be a bit more sensible here and try see the session through” but the opposition know that any loose ball pitched up is half a chance at taking a wicket.

Today’s wickets Root was fairly unlucky in that fact he’s made an average ball going down the leg side turn into a good ball with the thinnest of nicks off the bottom edge. The ball that got Stokes you simply have to hold your hands up and say fair play.

Then after you see what these lads are putting on and it’s great to watch from an England point view. From the brink of defeat to at least being back in the game.

Told you all it'd be fine. This is one of the greatest batting line ups OF ALL TIME. And nobody has realised it yet. Whatever they set, we will chase. India will likely just bat out for the draw if they have any sense and wait for a greener wicket.

Bazball with brains is definitely the way forward.

Not a chance we regain The Ashes, or beat good Test sides if it’s just thoughtless slogging.

Finally Brook falls for 158, just after the follow on removed from the equation.

Would take an awful fourth innings collapse to lose from here, I think.

Will be interesting to see how Smith plays now!

I think he has to put his foot to the floor. He's got his eye in and with the new ball moving as it is time may be short.

Well, 200 is the magic number, then. Bowl them out for under that and it's gettable, over that and it's not and likely batting more than a day for a draw will have to happen.
