It's too early in my opinion. England are 1 up, l don't understand the hurry to play him yet. Test cricket is another level, mentally & more importantly for Archer, fitness wise.

Agree no need to rush him back as not desperate ..

England name unchanged team for Wednesday.

 

I think it's the right move. The temptation must have been big to get Archer in but he needs time. I think he should still be playing for Sussex to get overs under his belt.

 

Our chances in Australia with Archer and Wood are so much better than without them but we'd need them to play at least 3 tests each down under to have any sort of hope of causing an upset.

Bad time to lose that 2nd. They looked in good form. Jaiswal bit shaky for a time, but found his rhythm with some lovely drives.

Feels a bit too early for the pitch to have changed for him to have an impact. 

 

Jaiswal was on for the ton, must be sickening to get out to that kind of ball.

England are going to win this series 5-0 and it’s going to be bad preparation for the ashes. India are pants. Odds on Gambhir surviving the series?
