I know Ayew gets pelters but we conceded both goals after he came off. I don't think it was just coincidence, Mavididi simply just doesn't cover Kristiansen enough which I think is why he isn't starting. We conceded vs Fulham similarly where Kristiansen was too central, and there was no cover from the winger. What do you think? I think this is RVD's dilemma - to stick or twist with a more attacking shape that leaves us vulnerable. Maybe Riccy P can do both and give us more security on the right, while keeping Ayew on the left? Who would you favour on the left? Fatawu's defensive game was underrated, we miss him so much. Is it really a dilemma anymore? It's not like we're watertight. It's only luck how we haven't been pumped more times than we have. We're looking like we're going to get cut adrift at any point so whilst there's a chance to do it, playing to our strengths instead of trying to patch up our weaknesses seems a better plan. Continuing how we are seems like madness. 3 1
AjcW Posted 20 February 2025 Posted 20 February 2025 Good to see him out on the grass in training today! Wonder if he gets 45 for the 21's next two Mondays?

Didn't we have a sell out at Filbo for Man U reserves once because three United first team players were getting match fit after injury? I think I read it on here once. 2

It's what got me hooked on supporting LCFC as a kid. Those were the days. And yes, it was more exciting when a first tenner played. Edited 21 February 2025 by fox_favourite 4

One of the players was definitely Dion Dublin, returning after a leg break injury and there were two others too...sort of the Clayton Blackmore level. But it was enough stardust to get 15k in. Remarkable

RizLCFC Posted 21 February 2025 Posted 21 February 2025 Ricardo isn’t improving us, injuries have ruined him. The sooner we realise this the better.

Apologise to the follically challenged middle aged bloke I hit on at least 6 occasions 3
filbertway Posted 21 February 2025 Posted 21 February 2025 Pretty sure I went to this FNF game as well, definitely remember going to one for my mates birthday which would have been around end of october/start of November.

I’m just saying we won’t be any better with Ricardo in the side. He definitely doesn’t have the legs to do half the running that JJ does, which is what RvN wants from his full-backs.
