BlackFox Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 I think it's going to be Ryan Bennet all over again
Blanchflower78 Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Wow, this signing will be a huge lift. Struggling for game time in Championship, just who we want if Youri gets nobbled now 🤦♂️ 1
lestalee Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Hornets forum seem happy to see him gone read into that what you like 🤦♂️
Dahnsouff Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Brendan said attacking player, Chalobah ain’t that

Dames Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 If this really happens then UEFA will need to ban us from every January transfer window for the foreseeable. Challenging for the top and potentially for the second successive year the reinforcements are players that are barely good enough to play in the division below. The lack of ambition is frightening. I’d rather we didn't do business at all. 2 1
Guest StevieLynex Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Lee Congerton, who worked alongside Rodgers as a youth team coach at Stamford Bridge, they also oversaw the development of one Nathanial Chalobah.

Bennett wasn’t good enough to help us stay top 4 (though for those with black & white glasses, he played well enough in the win over Sheff U) but even so we couldn’t have anticipated all the defensive injuries that would follow. We can’t just sign who we want. Hopefully we’ll get a McGregor or Maitland-Niles. Have faith!

Bennett wasnt good enough for Wolves so what made him good enough for us? The same goes for Chalobah albeit he’s barely good enough for a team a division lower. We are challenging for the Champions League for the second successive season, its not a fluke and its not entitlement to want the recruitment to reflect that. It cost us last year and could well do so again. This signing is not good enough, there is no possible way it can be spun into a positive. 2 1

Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 I'm having heart palpitations checking this forum to see this thread is still hot.
Pliskin Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Can we delete the thread and pretend this isn’t happening, and if it does collectively on the forum we can just pretend he’s a hidden gem from the fourth tier of Duch football who will single handedly win the league for us. 1

Sunbury Fox Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Came on this bit of the forum to get away from the misery of the post match thread, only to find this is the hot topic on here!! What a miserable bloody day! It's Molla Wague and Ryan Bennett all over again. 2

manders86 Posted 31 January 2021 Posted 31 January 2021 Apparently Preki is bringing him and Molla Wague in with him? 🤷♂️

Not even a regular in a team a league below to a team challenging for the premier league. If he’s happy to sit on his arse on the bench how motivated will he be if he’s needed to play.

We need an AM in the next day and a bit.
