Sadly, BR has said there’s no one in the U23s ready for the PL. We need an AM in the next day and a bit.

True, which makes is ridiculous to be looking at a Championship substitute DCM.

Not sure why people are calling him a sub/bench player for Watford

Started 20 of 26 league games this season for Watford, brought off the bench in 4, stayed on the bench in 1, and suspended for the other

3 of the 5 games where he was brought off the bench were against the crapper teams in the league (Wycombe, Barnsley, Cov), also came off the bench against Norwich in the new managers 1st game in charge and has then been started in 4 of the next 5 games since

Not like we are signing Watfords equivalent of Choudhury who barely plays ffs

Literally nothing you could say could justify this signing. Other than we only have enough money exactly to sign one player..... and it’s Chaloshit.

Not justifying it, just pointing out that people are trying to downplay him for a reason that isn't true.

I got excited when the transfer window opened, I thought we might show some ambition. But this is really not what I had   In mind.

He has been a regular because they ended up selling Capoue.

But I’ve seen a lot of him this season, and he’s been mostly bang average.

Makes the odd good tackle and interception, but can be very lazy and his passing is woeful at times.

Aim to be a big club but sign players on a par with Burnley, Brighton, Palace or Newcastle. Embarrassing really.

Not recalling KDH looks scandalous now tbh. Would rather keep Hamza and save the transfer fee too

Exactly. Chalobah is not the sort of midfielder we need. He's nearly 28, at the latter end of his career and virtually always  played as a DCM. He's not even a regular this season in the Championship. Consequently, he's no upgrade on Hamza.

Compare him with Maitland-Niles. In the England squad last season. He's 23. He's played as a right back, left back, right wing back, left wing back, right winger, left winger, DCM and Attacking Midfielder. He's so versatile, has bags of skill and talent - and has publically stated that a move to us, is exactly what he'd want, if he continues to be left out by Arteta.

Just turned 26, plays in a midfield 2, and has played the majority of games for Watford this season...
